Imperial Heritage Hotel Melaka

Arrived slightly before 2pm and we were able to do an early check in. We were so grateful as we had a loooooong journey to Melaka. Receptionist was helpful but do bring along any invoices stating you already paid for the Malaysian Tourism Tax. They will minus it off as you put your RM 100 deppsit. If not it will be RM 100 + RM 20. The room was spacious, and as normal they provided Water bottles, teas and coffees. Called to double confirm and they say we can call for more and it will still be complimentary. Our toilet was spacious but the shower curtain was not so helpful as the toilet area always ends up wet. The drainage for the sink was a bit slow but it worked. There was a bidet and toilet rolls were provided. Along with the basic toiletries The swivel chair in the room did gave me mini heart attacks but the bed, lightings, TV, A/C worked well. The fridge was not as cold as we had hoped but it did work. Ordered room service. Food was delicious and priced well. Location was amazing!!! Massage parlours, heritage sites, restaurants, convenience stores and nearby to the main malls. Super duper easy. What you need is a 5 min walk away. The staff were great, provided help swiftly and greeted us cheerfully everytime we bumped into them. The corridor make look dated but the view was nice, windy and spacious. I was initially initimidated but once you unlook the room, the room looks impeccable. Will stay here again and again!!

I recently stayed at this hotel for one night, and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. I feel compelled to share my concerns in the hope that improvements can be made for future guests. The positives include a spacious room, but the interior appeared old and gloomy. Additionally, the floor felt sticky when walked on barefoot, which was quite uncomfortable. There were several issues with the bathroom facilities. The shower area was only separated by a curtain, resulting in the entire toilet floor getting wet during showers. The lack of a floor mat made this situation even more inconvenient. Furthermore, the placement of the towel rack above the toilet bowl, far from the shower area, made retrieving towels a slippery and inconvenient task. Basic amenities were lacking. Insufficient toilet paper was provided, with no extra rolls. The 2-in-1 shampoo and body wash combo was inconvenient, as separate options were preferred. The toothbrush provided had a soft handle, and no additional toiletries like conditioner or body wash were available. The absence of face towels, hand towels, and a hair dryer was unexpected. The bath towels provided were not only old but also appeared unclean. To worsen matters, the pillowcase and blanket were stained, leading to an uncomfortable night's sleep and waking up with itchy skin. The most distressing part of my stay was the presence of a baby cockroach in my bed, requiring me to disinfect the entire sleeping area with my own disinfectant spray. This was a shocking and unacceptable experience. Moreover, the condition of the lifts was subpar, being slow and allowing unrestricted access to any floor. The main door also failed to shut automatically, posing a security risk that required manual adjustment. Receiving only one room card added to the inconvenience. Overall, this has been the worst hotel experience I've encountered, and regrettably, I will not consider returning to your establishment. I hope you take this feedback seriously and take appropriate measures to improve the quality of your services.
