We had a delightful stay at the Impiana Hotel. Highlights include: - Prior to booking, we were given a comprehensive tour of the entire hotel and its grounds, with the option to choose from 3 different room types. - Breakfast with an ocean view. - Exceptionally courteous staff, especially the young apprentice Win and the remarkably friendly lady, Nong, at the reception. - Well-maintained and clean rooms. Regrettably, the beach is marred by litter, likely due to the hotel's location at the edge of the shore. Addressing this issue by initiating beach cleaning a bit earlier, similar to neighboring hotels, would be beneficial. Despite the beach concern, overall, our experience at the hotel was highly enjoyable.

it's a terrible hotel for a very high fee I have stayed in it many times before, but this time shocked me..... I chose a room by the sea, thinking I would have a good vacation, but no..... I will not tell you about the unfriendly staff, maybe it was just me who was unlucky. but the condition of the room was horrible. The front door was very old and the lock was corroded and the key got stuck very often. the door to the toilet was so badly stuck that you had to push it open. the bathroom was like in a cheap hostel (all stained and rusty). think carefully if you want to stay in this hotel.....

Rooms are quite expensive because it is on the beach of Chaweng Noi (the quieter beach about 15 minutes from the main Chaweng beach). Not many food options here other than the resorts on the beach (Impiana, Sheraton, and a few past the boulders). There are smaller botique hotels that are 5 minutes walk from here that are much cheaper, and similar types of rooms (just not on the beach). Drinks cocktails are not very good or very strong. Food isn't that great, and is on the pricier side. The lady who works at the main front reception is not very friendly - she seems more ready to scowl at you when you enter to guard the entrance than to welcome you into the hotel. I understand that it is a private resort limiting access to the public beach behind it, but there is a way to limit access without putting people off. The beach directly in front of this resort is swimable. Literally just to the side of it, there are big rocks hidden in the water and you can't really go there (or your feet might get stuck or a wave can knock you down and you can be seriously injured). Learned that the hard way going after one of our kids' floaties that had drifted off. Koh Samui weather during winter holidays (Christmas) - be careful. It isn't always sunny!

Pros: - Generally we had a good stay. But i don't think we go there again. We just chose this hotel because this was the only one left with sea view. - if you have a good deluxe room you have a nice sea view. - You can swin at high tide and low tide. Low tide is not really noticeable. - Beach is right in front of the hotel and when it has been cleaned it is a nice quite beach. -Deluxe rooms are quiet. -Lobby looks nice. -Staff is genreous, engaged and very friendly. -Breakfast is ok. Good omelettes. - Good coffee - Good Wifi - Beautiful Garden Cons: -Water quality of the pool is not being monitored. Water in the pool is dirty. A disgusting oil film is on the surface. Shower is not so easy to find. Should be better marked. -Deluxe rooms are spaceous but far from deluxe. They should be renovated. -The hotel could be a very nice hotel, it is not being maintained and it is run down. I think it's poor management and bad owners. The small number of employees tries its best to handle the miserable situation. -Mattress is quite hard -Beach and the sea are full of plastic and trash although staff tries its best to clean it. -Food is overpriced for what it is. -Not enough staff. There always should be someone at the beach and the pool to take drink and food orders. Especially at happy hour. - Trash like old diapers lie at the pool from some indian family with two toddlers. Nobody removes it. More trash cans and ash trays should be provided. - TV programme sucks and programme reception is bad. - Everywhere you smell stinking Marihuana from people smoking on balconies. - Aircon is useless. It doesn't work properly. 10 days after we notified the reception about it and 3 days before we left they repaired it.

Great value for money resort, very homey and friendly Thai hospitable staff who care. Overall resort is 20 years old however it as that Thai charm to it, the ben linens are soft and what feels very cozy, the rooms are totally outdated but it felt comfortable! Not those overly modernized new places. Beachfront- good for swimming, breakfast was very plain and gets boring after a weeks stay but they have an egg station which ticks that box. The staff were the best part we were able to check in at 11pm and check out at 4pm for our evening flight.
