Our six-night stay in Madrid at the Intercontinental Hotel was truly remarkable. Nestled in the embrace of this beautifully historic property, we reveled in the city’s charm. Though our experience encountered an unexpected turn with a midnight visit to the emergency room, the hotel’s staff displayed exceptional professionalism and compassion, turning a challenging situation into a testament to their dedication. Our accommodations were a blend of spaciousness and classic city views that greeted us with the gentle hues of sunrise. Despite the vintage architecture, the room maintained impeccable cleanliness, seamlessly integrating modern comforts. The club lounge elevated our stay with impeccable service, offering delightful breakfast options and exquisite small bites. Quite a nice hotel with modern furnishings and old world comforts like shoe horns. The hotels service was helpful and the breakfast was great! The only issue is the location isn't really walking distance to any major attraction - especially during the cold days of winter.

Had a really nice stay, albeit under difficult circumstances (I was robbed, so had to get to the nearby embassy). Hotel is nice, very clean, good location. Although I have to say, the staff were exceptional - going out of their way to help with printing and other things I needed to get back home. I really appreciated all their help, they really are a credit to the hotel. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again next time I'm in Madrid..

It’s a very good hotel that meets the Intercontinental standards, but it’s a bit worn-out. It’s celebrating its 70th anniversary, and you can see it in some of its elements that have not been updated, like furniture and carpet. But other than that, it’s still a top ten luxury franchise hotel in Madrid. Rooms are spacious, large TVs. The service was outstanding. Restaurant was excellent and quality of food was too. Mr. Abilio Garrido, manager at the restaurant (33 years working at the property, he said!) was phenomenal. He was helpful with the menu and recommendations of local dishes, and made good wine suggestions.

The service is excellent howeve our room, while quiet was obviously for only one person, not two! The bd was too small for 2 people. It was not even a queen size bed! There was only one night stand. The shower only had a partial door, so no matter how careful you were you got water everywhere all over the floor. It was not a room that was very impressive for such an expensive hotel. The breakfast buffet was excellent but pricey. Everything tasted fine. The hotel staff are all very nice, professional and polite.
