Gorgeous hotel, excellent service, big beautiful rooms. The hotel is located in two sides of the road with the underground passage (very short) connecting. One part is not on the beach but is more quiet and secluded(I preferred to stay there) while the other is directly facing the beach( more people and foot traffic but has bigger and more expensive rooms, with sea view). You can either walk for few minutes or take a little buggy(golf cart operated by driver) for a short drive to the beach side. Literally takes few minutes and buggies are always available, can come and pick you up by your room, running all the time back and forth. Hotel has some pools but sits right on the beach with it's own access and lounge chairs (fresh towels will be out for you one you pick the lounge chairs and switched as often as you like). Bar and food service available on the beach from hotels beach bar with excellent selection of food and drinks. You can also get food and drinks from nearby beach bars. Hotel sits in the bay with beautiful calm waters, mostly used by the guests of the hotel. The lounge chairs are pretty close to each other though but more private ones are there closer to pool. If the budget allows,I would not stay anywhere else! The hotel was amazing, the breakfast had regular continental choices as well as hot Thai and Indian food with new things offered daily. Special coffee included, changed daily. Champagne included with breakfast as well as variety of fresh juices. I felt pampered as a queen! Hotel sits on a more isolated part of the island, called Kamala beach, away from crowds and traffic but you need to get a taxi to go to other parts of the island and traffic is brutal! But the taxis are cheap

Easily the nicest beachfront hotel on Kamala beach. We loved taking morning walks with coffee along the shore. We paid to upgrade to a pool access room and I’m very glad we did as it made using the pool a lot easier. When our flight got delayed, the reception team worked hard to arrange a later check out for us despite being fully booked. They could have just said no and kicked us out onto the street. I am so incredibly thankful they were willing to help.

This is truly one of the best hotels we’ve ever been to. We first came here last year and came back this year and it was impeccable both times if not even better the second time. We will definitely be back again. Beautiful location, amazing food and the service is outstanding all around!! Especially at the Pine Beach Bar, Matty is so incredibly good at his job, give this man a raise!!👏🏼👏🏼

Rooms are excellent - comfortable and spacious, well equipped however no desk, nice bath, Illy espresso machine, good toiletries however no bath foam. The gym is very good - spacious and with a good range of equipment although it could do with another bench and some heavier dumbbells. The grounds are really nice. On the mountain side there is beautiful architecture and very nice pools. The beach is nice. It's easy to get from the mountain side to the beach side because there is a tunnel under the busy main road so you don't have to worry about traffic. Breakfast in the restaurant is excellent, although as is so often the case in Asia the poached eggs were undercooked and to me completely inedible. The rest of breakfast is very good though. The real highlight is the club lounge, pool, and rooms. Club or ocean view rooms on the beach side have good views and put you right next to the beach. The club lounge serves an excellent breakfast, delicious afternoon tea, and very good canapes with a great selection of cocktails. The pool for club guests is very nice and private. Staff throughout the hotel were excellent.
