We had an excellent stay at Inverness City Suites after our original hotel accommodations in the city were unacceptable. Due to the last minute booking, we had to change apartments from the third to first floor on the second night, but the staff kindly offered to move our bags for us while we were out. Both apartments we stayed in were spacious, comfortable, and immaculately clean, and the staff were very helpful. Potential guests should be aware there is no elevator and no air conditioning, but fans in the apartments kept them a comfortable temperature throughout our stay even though it was late June. Water pressure is great in the showers and the bathrooms are well-appointed. Just remember to bring your own face cloth/bath pouf or purchase them at one of the nearby shops, as is the case with many accommodations in Scotland.

Great location. High spec with everything you could need. Immaculate throughout. Even nice city view to the front of the building. Helpful drop off location for when you arrive. Secure parking close by at no extra cost. Helpful staff on site at different times but also no one at other times.

Our window looked out on the Town House which was nice and it's right by the high street so very convenient for shops restaurants and the train station if you're coming in on the sleeper train

Luxury serviced apartments? No! Reasons follow: No lift - not mentioned on the site we booked on. No airconditioning in summer - arrived to a sauna. 2 piddly fans? Again not mentioned on the site we booked on. Opened the windows to a blast of noise from the street below - couldn't use these overnight. And the demanding signs everywhere that sound like Brittas. Don't do this. Dont do that. Welcoming not. Must obey the MD. Counted at least 10 on everything. Doors that can't be pinned open. Get some air flowing. For those who are ecologically minded with a view to carbon, they are still using halogen down lights and CFLs rather than LEDs Also, air fresheners stinking the place out - some hidden in drawers. Awful smell. And expensive. Complete let down. Probably the most unwelcome I have ever felt staying anywhere. Reading other less positive reviews where the only thing that the owner could do was blame the guests reinforces that he doesn't really want to acknowledge and deal with their concern - just attack and disparage them in his review responses.
