The staff was very unprofessional. Huge piles of mess everywhere when you walk in. Staff openly exhibit dissatisfaction when guests approach the front desk/coffee bar—as though we are inconveniencing them. Terse and aloof, I guess rightfully so since the lobby was so well-decorated. The elevator just felt unsafe, making all kinds of noise and swings in weird ways. The room is where they lost even more stars. The floors are uneven, almost tripped. The lighting felt like it’s from goodwill. The cheap sunken cloth couch clearly has stuffs spilled and dried, you can see the caked on dirt residual ring. Nasty!! The TV remote doesn’t work. It simply felt like a cheap room and they spent all their budget in common areas. So much potential yet squandered. Shame.

I recently booked a room at the Joinery Curio Collection by Hilton for my parents and was utterly dismayed by the experience. As a Hilton Gold member, I expected a certain standard of quality and comfort, but what we encountered was shockingly substandard. The room was not only tiny but also poorly arranged, with the headboard awkwardly placed in front of the windows. The furniture was in a deplorable state - severely scuffed and coming apart, clearly indicating a lack of proper maintenance. Additionally, the room's cleanliness was appalling. The walls, ceiling, and floors were stained, and the bathroom was a particular concern with rust-stained shower walls. Regrettably, due to these unsanitary conditions, I had to relocate my parents to another hotel, incurring additional costs. It was disconcerting to see the staff's lack of surprise or attempt to rectify the situation when we decided to leave. This nonchalant attitude towards customer dissatisfaction is alarming and unbecoming of the Hilton brand. This experience has not only caused me inconvenience and additional expense but has also severely tarnished my view of Hilton. I am deeply disappointed and now question the overall quality and customer service standards of the brand. Hilton should urgently address these issues to restore confidence in their commitment to quality and guest satisfaction.

Absolutely Fabulous! The service was top notch. The hotel has plenty of common spaces that are cozy and private or a place to do some business or work .loved the decor throughout the hotel nice little bits of history mixed with modern. And the restaurant was also fantastic food and service. Seriously the best old fashion I've had in years!

I had a disappointing experience at the Joinery Hotel in Pittsburgh last night. As part of the Curio Collection, I expected a higher standard. The initial impression was promising with a modern lobby and elegant light fixtures. The decor with books and typewriters gave it a unique touch. Unfortunately, issues arose quickly. The power plugs at the lobby table were inactive, forcing me to relocate after setting up for work. The room had curling wallpaper and inadequate lighting, making it feel more like a budget motel. Contrary to other Hilton locations, coffee was not complimentary. On a positive note, the valet team was exceptional, and the restaurant next door had a welcoming atmosphere with great staff. However, due to the room's lack of care and ambiance, I won't be returning to this Hilton location.

With a cost of $250 for one night (granted it was for the Saturday after Thanksgiving) i expected a certain level of charm and/or quality. The lobby was cute with the vinyl selection and record players. But the elevator took forever, the room was small and basic, the bathroom smelled like mildew because it had no fan, and i could not get warm despite turning the thermometer to 75 and it just kept blowing cold air- my hands were still cold! I wish i had just booked a cheaper hotel. Felt like a waste of a splurge.
