The GOOD: 1. Location! It's conveniently located at the border of Interlaken and at the doorstep of Lauterbunnen and Ginderwald. You can also almost see the Jungfrau peak from the room, so thats amazing. 2. Somewhere between the Good and the Bad is the self check in. At first, it seemed like a great idea and convenient concept. And it is, unless you have questions, want an extra key made or run into an error of no reservation found. There is a phone right next to the self check in desk to call. I had to call, and the staff were very friendly and were able to make additional keys and answer questions, remotely. 3. Lots of parking spots. 4. Free internet (if it works) Unfortunately, that's where the good ended. The BAD: 1. No phones in the room or any room service! 2. No soap in dispenser! 3. Breakfast for extra $$. Basic breakfast for a few. The UGLY: 1. Heaters were on 5 which is full, but they weren't getting hot, so we had a cold night. Very cold night! 2. Cow bell - All Night! Ok so this is interesting. I love cows, and swiss cows, no are the friendliest. I love the cow bells, but I think that's sort of changed now. Right next to the inn is a cow stable. There were 2 cute cows. But all night, the bells where daangling and we simply couldn't enjoy any quietness or sleep. We just got out of bed around 330 and at 430ish the dangling paused, to resume again with sunrise! To summarize, this is a 1 ⭐ motel at best where service is not why you'd stay here. Thanks to the location, you can make the best of your stay and wake up early and experience nature. It's a great off-site business concept, with a few nuances if changed, could do really well, not just for the business owner but also the consumer.

Great views Splendid countryside good park for kids to play The Staff at the breakfast counter were excellent Only issue is with the QUANTITY of breakfast which seems to run out half way through the set timings even after booking an extra room. So better be early for breakfast...

Great well kept inn. Everything was clean, service at front desk was more than helpful. Breakfast at the stay is a nice little touch.
