This hotel is on a very small island about a 29 minute boat right from the San Marco pier. Very walkable grounds with a good but distant view of Venezia. I was really impressed with the staff here. They were courteous, kind and very professional. Staff is the main reason I would come back here. There are little picnic spots around the grounds that get moved to new locations every day. The breakfast buffet is outstanding and included a good sampling of Italian and local samplings. Our room was good. Bathroom layout was a little weird, but everything was well maintained and clean.

This stay was not optimal. The first part was on us. This hotel is much farther out than we expected. Our bad. The first night we got there we felt like it was too late to head out for dinner elsewhere and I really wanted a salad. I got a chicken salad from the pool restaurant and my third bite in I realized the chicken was raw in the middle. Once I realized they I told them and they comped it but stated “it’s premade and brought to us in these bags”. They let management know and the chef at the lobby restaurant came out and was super kind and comped us a different meal. Unfortunately my evening did not go well. Around three in the morning the vomiting and everything else began. We had scheduled two private tours through the hotel for the following morning, which fortunately I made it through but did not feel my best, which was a bummer. The other issue was the air conditioning in the room not working barely at all. They did their laser thing as usual but, simply put, the minimal output could not keep up with the room temp and it was a hot and uncomfortable sleep. The positives only go to the majority of the staff being friendly and those tours they set up were actually really good with a local. I would not come back.

Absolutely loved our stay here! Yes location is not ideal, it’s 20 minutes boat ride to the city center of Venice but hotel is gorgeous! Clean and quiet if you want to get away from business of Venice it’s just perfect. We had a room in spa section of the hotel, get a room there if you get to choose it’s much nicer than the main building. We enjoyed roof top infinity pool the most! Highly recommend!

We stayed for a few days at the end of our Italian cities trip. The location is fantastic. Great view from the rooftop bar/pool. The restaurant staff were really great - as was the breakfast. Disappointed that there was an additional charge for the spa (€70). The room was a squeeze as we had an extra bed - so we changed it around and it worked better. We watched TV on the last night - it froze every 20-30 mins for about a minute at a time which was quite annoying. The bathroom became flooded whenever we used the shower… so very slippy when you got out.

Whilst the island is beautiful, I do want to write an honest review . I have to make it clear that you will need some money behind you in order to eat and drink here . Lunch meals typically over £30 per person and dinner well we had room service and it exceeded £85 . Water alone is more than €10 our bedroom it was a good size but the bathroom was small in comparison. The TV is also small and offers nothing like Netflix etc . Two of our bathroom tiles were broken and when having a shower the floor was drenched as we didn’t have a seal on the shower door . The staff are nice but we experienced again more than once how different they treat: how attentive they can be towards certain guests if The guests have stayed in the suites ££££ . The view from the roof top is beautiful but the images online are slightly misleading as they do no show the huge water tank . The pool is also shallow and only waist deep. The decking was also not in good condition , nor was the flooring around the family pool . Also certain areas of the island are untouched / wild . The two fountains in the grounds are filthy . For a five star I just would expect more
