This hotel is truly a 4 star hotel in the beautiful old town of Istanbul. Very clean, friendly, helpful and good staff. Spacious rooms with soundproof windows. What I also liked was the extra security system that works with the room card. Only with this room card can you use the elevator to get to some rooms. Only guests can take the elevator to the desired floor/room. You have everything at hand. Restaurant and laundry service are excellent. When I'm back in Istanbul, I already know where I'll stay: Kenthotel.

Convenient location and close to a lot of activities and attractions. The rooms were clean. The beds were comfy with nice sheets. The service was very good. We left early before breakfast and they made is a small to go breakfast for our trip out. I would stay here again. We had 4 people in our family and they had a larger room with a queen and 2 twin size beds.

One thing I rely on a hotel to do, when I’m on a long trip, is laundry. I took a bag of laundry to the desk this morning, but they said “sorry, laundry closed today.” My group is leaving in a couple of days, so tomorrow just won’t cut it. I’m trying to do laundry in the sink, but there’s no way to stopper the sink. So I’m trying to do it in the trashcan. Other than that, this is an OK hotel. Not sure ii deserves a four star rating. There are a little annoyances, like charging for extra water, the light in the glass-door refrigerator that won’t go off, the showerhead that badly needs cleaning, and so on. I’ve stayed in the Doubletree next-door, and it’s a much better hotel.

I came to Turkey on a tour. Rooms were clean, beds comfy and had adequate plugs and lighting. Could use a second luggage rack. Here for few days at beginning and end of tour. The staff was friendly, efficient and went out of their way to help guests. Besides cleanliness, staff is the number one reason I will return. Restaurant on premises self-serve with large variety of items. Especially breakfast bar with actual honeycomb. Across street from University. Sightseeing: Tram or Walk to Blue mosque, Cistern, Hagia Sophia, Grand Bazaar . Cappadocia (balloon ride, V. Seramik pottery, Yuksel Carpets, Houses carved in rocks, Ephesus. Will have to go back to see Asian side more indepth.
