Kitzio House Hotel is located deeply, almost at the end of a secondary street in the huai kwang area. The main street, Metro, and restaurants are at 5 minutes walking distance. The rooms are relatively small, while the bathroom is almost as big as the living area. A small desk and a fridge are provided. The main issue that can not be overlooked, mentioned by previous reviewers as well, are the sewer smell waves filling up the room at regular times during the day. It almost felt like this hotel was built inside a septic tank. When i am reading in some reviews: "Everything is ok as long as you can put up the smell", I wonder in what kind of houses are these people living in. The room is filled with room fresheners and aromatic scents, but they can't really cover the smell. Room cleaning is on request. A mandatory deposit of 500 baht is requested during checkin (only cash or local thai bank transfer). Better hotel options are available at the same price in the Huai Kwang area. 🌟

Great location and is quiet at the night. The staff are nice and the rooms are clean and very bright in the daytime. Things are quite basic inside as at such a price you should not expect more. The hot water system in the shower is electrical so the temperature is not hot enough, but considering it'll be 30 Celsius in Bangkok, I won't see it's a minus. They also got the different sizes of rooms so they'll suit long travellers or family tourists. Overall, I'll be here again next time when I'm in Bangkok.

Trust the reviews that make comments about strange smells in the rooms! I stayed two nights here, in two separate rooms, on different floors. Both rooms had a bad smell to them. I can't put my finger on what the smell was, but its not pleasant. Staff had hung multiple air fresheners in each room (I counted a total of 6 air fresheners in the second room I stayed in), but that just makes the rooms smell like air freshener + whatever the heck the original smell is. Its a shame, because this is otherwise a pretty good spot for the price, and its a short walk to the MRT station. Could use some maintenance, but was clean and comfortable, with friendly and helpful staff.
