We had a fantastic time. The staff were extremely helpful, the airline we travelled with lost our luggage and they helped us contacting the airport and arranging for the luggage to be sent to our next hotel. They were lovely and the rooms were also great! The bed is super comfortable and the breakfast was nice, delivered to the room. I would 100% recommend this place. Also great location right next to the Main Street in Kyoto downtown.

Great hotel! The room is very big and the delicious breakfast is brought in the room. It is a 5 minutes walk from a lot of famous shops. The reception service is very good, the receptionists are very friendly. I recommend this hotel for people that come to Kyoto.

I stayed in 2019, and the experience was so great I stayed again in 2023. The main highlight for me is the generously sized room. The interior is not super modern but definitely good enough. The bathroom is very large with a nice ceiling shower as well. The hotel is quite small (~4 rooms per floor) which is also nice and never feels crowded. Service is another highlight and is 5 star. Staff at the hotel took our many pieces of heavy luggage to the room in advance, and helped us call a taxi when we left. They are super polite and helpful and their English is pretty good. There is free coffee and tea on the ground floor as well. The location is pretty good, being very close to Karasuma Station, bus stops, and Daimaru Departo. It's a little bit longer of a walk to get to Gion, but not overly difficult. In fact on both trips we walked from the hotel to Kiyomizudera and it's not actually too difficult.
