La Belle Endormie B&B

All I can say is WOW. This stay was for my boyfriend’s birthday, so I booked the Gaïa suite as it truly is beautiful. To top it off, I arranged to have petals and heart balloons added to the room as an extra touch, and Antony really knocked it out of the park and made it look incredible. My boyfriend was so overwhelmed! The room is really spacious, quiet and, above all, styled to perfection. The bed is one of the most comfortable I’ve slept on (it may not be suited to everyone’s tastes but I prefer a harder mattress) and offers a lot of space. The bathroom is utterly stunning too with an amazing rainfall shower! And, of course, there’s a private jacuzzi attached to the suite, just on the outside of the room, which gave it that extra edge. Everything is so well thought out - Antony has considered every little detail, including giving guests the ability to watch Netflix, Disney+, Prime Video, etc, which I’ve never seen anywhere else before! The mini fridge is full of different options too with reasonable prices, and the breakfast placed outside of the room in the morning was really fresh - we loved the pastries and baguette. The communication from Antony throughout was exceptional, as well as the greeting he gave us at the door when we dropped off our bags. Antony is a kind, friendly person who has a lot of passion for his B&B, which shows in the way he talks to people, the recommendations he gives for places to visit in Bordeaux and how well designed the rooms are. I would 100% recommend staying here and, if you’re looking for something a bit more special, go for the suite! For the suite, my only advice would be to check the weather forecast for the time you’re staying if you’re looking to make the most out of the jacuzzi. It happened to hit 40 degrees Celsius during our stay and, unfortunately, that meant that we could only tolerate the heat of the jacuzzi for a maximum of 15 minutes (the jacuzzi temperature was 39 degrees Celsius, with no way of turning it down) before having to jump out with a headache! This was nobody’s fault though, as I had booked the trip months in advance and couldn’t have predicted such a violent heatwave - just make sure you’re aware of the weather possibilities!

We stayed here for 2 nights recently. Beautiful room with a great continental breakfast. Antony our host was very welcoming and helpful. We arrived in Bordeaux early in the morning and departed late in the evening and he helped enormously with this. Location is good with the public park close by. Would recommend this accommodating to anyone going to Bordeaux
