The rooms are clean and tidy and roomy. There are some things that could use fixing but they don't detract from the experience. The shower water does not stay hot for long. Enough for 2 people which when 5 people are in the room it's not enough, unless you don't care for warm showers. The people here are kind and willing to help where they can. The location is perfect for getting to the beach. I do wish they had an area where we could have a beach chair without spending $45x2 for the day, yes, it comes with $30 credit for food but sometimes you just want to go sit at the beach for an hour. It's also so close to the shopping district (5th Ave).

This place has terrible customer service. They are a combination of condos/airbnbs and a hotel. So you have multiple management companies and the resort, which makes it challenging to deal with issues and to control the resort. For example we set our trash outside of our room as we were the end cap no one could see it plus it was bagged. We looked for the trash can and couldn’t find it, the gentlemen we asked didn’t speak English. So we went to the beach and figured we would address it when we got back. They messaged us while at the beach on WhatsApp saying they would charge us if we didn’t move the trash. But being on vacation and not using the WhatsApp commonly I missed the message until that night so they charged us a 150.00 US!!!! They refused to work with us at all and never told us where the trash was or anything, no signage nothing. (We later found it on the other side of the building in a parking garage we didn’t use being from America and not having a car there. The Airbnb owner blamed them and acted helpless, which he may not have any control over them. Their lack of customer service was unreal, I lost my mind. We own Airbnbs and understand customer service clearly they do not and don’t care about repairs they just want that American Money and I say that because we felt treated differently (in a negative way). The building is very old and years of mediocre repairs and paint can only take the place so far. I call them 100ft pictures it looks great from a 100ft away but up close up it’s rough. The location is good not right on the beach but only 1 building away and access to 5th is great. This and the roof top terrace were the only pros but in hindsight was not enough to justify ever recommending this place. I wish I saw the reviews on this site before booking my Airbnb here as the Airbnb owner wasn’t the problem, the resort management is the issue! I would highly recommend looking elsewhere as this place will only care about detaching you from your money with no service to support doing so.

The hotel smells wet, the AC is super loud. The lighting is deemed, super understaffed. The valet and house keeper are rude, and not willing to help. The ceiling is rusted and the towels are dirty. The bedsheets were smelly too. Not recommended

No electricity in the rooms, I arrived after a long day of flights and when checking in (after charging the deposit) I was told there was work being done and not electricity in the rooms. I asked if it's a temporary thing or if a power line is down, the receptionist said she wasn't sure when it'll be back or if it was temporary. Common areas have power tho, she then said again that only the rooms do not have power. I walked to the condos across and next door to look for available rooms for my family and I. They got power! Must be an Aldea Thai issue only. I was looking forward this place. I did get my deposit back and full refund. But how inconvenient!

My husband and I recently booked a stay here and when we arrived we were asked to pay $50 to check in as a deposit and as we were handing the money over they informed us there was no electricity but the entire lobby and front of the building were lit up. They couldn’t give us a reason why there was no electricity while every other building around them had electricity and just kept trying to get us to pay and check in. We declined and canceled the reservation but the poor communication and asking for a check in deposit before telling us important information like no electricity is very discouraging and frustrating for travelers.
