This was a fantastic location and big room in Florence. We had views of the Duomo which was incredible and we were in walking distance to the center of town. It was a bit of a walk from the train station on gobble stone, so travel light! Would highly recommend.

Location just unbeatable. Service at the desk is perfect. Mattress is horrible. No breakfast at all!! They advertise on the internet that breakfast included. But it’s not a breakfast. It’s cold snacks. There’s a cereal in the small pack, but not provided a bowl and a spoon to eat. Water only 1-st day. But water in Italy is not a problem. It’s everywhere. Extremely noisy music from somewhere from 10-12pm

Great location! From my room I could see the duomo cupola perfectly (although only two rooms have the great view)! The room felt so historic, with its wooden beams and fireplace, as if the folks of 15th century Firenze could have stayed in the same room. That meant it was a touch outdated, but I expect that in Europe and will always choose character over a modern Hilton you’d find anywhere in suburban America. Breakfast was in the room and contained a variety of juices, yogurt, cereals and pre packaged muffins. It worked for us since you’re walking around eating rich, amazing food all day. My husband, who is not very observant, couldn’t find the Wi-Fi password after I went to bed, so called Adriana at 2230 and she answered and get him connected. :-) Despite the fact that it was on the main square, our windows were double pained so I didn’t hear much noise. You had to walk up one floor to get to the rooms.

We booked this hotel based on Rick Steves' book and were a bit disappointed. The location is central and the balcony has an abbreviated view of the Duomo. The negative: the bed is extremely firm (rock hard) and our AC unit did not work. The "breakfast" was packaged croissant and corn flakes... Luckily, the hotel was very accommodating; they allowed us to leave early and refunded us the night we did not stay. Just be warned of the noise and rock hard beds!

Giving it two stars for location. Close to quite a bit. Picked it because of the Rick Steves recommendation, but I think it needs to get removed from the book. We booked the larger Michelangelo suite. The room itself was beautiful with large ceilings and plenty of room, but I have never slept on such an uncomfortable bed in my life. The bed was a rock, and the pillows felt like a ream of paper. The bed itself shook every time you readjusted on the bed. I was going to mention it, but noticed that the frame was zip-tied multiple times, so it was clear that it was broken and they did not want to actually fix it. Breakfast was okay. You’ll need to eat somewhere else, though since it’s very light. Save yourself the time (and sleepless nights) and stay somewhere else.
