For me one of the best places in Cat Ba Island. Pros: 1. Great Location 2. Luxury Hotel with nice view rooms and bathrooms well designed. 3. Neat and clean atmosphere both inside the hotel and around 4. Good housekeeping and lovely breakfast 5. Elevator, good wifi, spacious lobby.

Hotel is in a good location and close to all the amenities, unfortunately this about the only good thing going for it The rooms were ok but there’s no room cleaning services The reception and lobby smells like fish because of the restaurant The staff aren’t exactly the most attentive and don’t speak English Had to kill two cockroaches in my bathroom and there is a trail of ants in our bedroom Honestly not worth the price considering I’ve paid for much nicer places at cheaper rates

The only good thing about this hotel is the location. Close to all lovely restaurants (especially can recommend the Korean BBQ (194 Đường 1/4) . If you are a fan of wellness treatments, then the hot stones massage with ginger oil at the Spa right next to Napoli Pizza-Cafe is fantastic . The Cat Ba NO 1 Beach is walking distance and lovely for day or evening . :)

Fantastic owner and very nice staff. Always available to help. With regards to the rooms, the build quality was nice however the rooms did smell of mould not strongly but it was there. I would recommend a seaview room just for the chance to open the window. The door lock stopped working the second night and the owner changed us rooms to one without a window no problems. Both rooms I killed a cockroach and proceeded to cover the gap in the door and one in the wall and didnt get anymore. This can always happen as its on an island with a lot of nature. Last thing both rooms had very blocked shower drains with both of them not having sealing under the shower cubicle leading to a pool of water in the bathroom. Also the hot water ran out after one person took a shower, good excuse to share? ;) I really liked the owner and wish him all the best these few issues require rectification in an otherwise pleasent hotel.

The worst things: terrible service and owners' and staff's attitude. Perhaps their main business is the seafood restaurant so they don't care about the hotel. Whenever I ask them something (e.g., why there was no wifi), they acted like they were super busy and I bothered them, they walked away and mumbled the answer and I had to follow them to ask again. No room daily service. Elevator and lobby are dirty and smelly due to the seafood restaurant. Some reviews said that the hotel has a good view; I agree but trust me, you won't enjoy the view with that attitude.
