The room: We got the executive room and it was spacious, clean and modern. The bathroom had a rain shower head which was a nice touch and their soap, shampoo & conditioner and lotion smelled amazing. There was a kitchenette with a full sized fridge, microwave, two-burner electric stove top, a Nespresso machine (with two provided pods per day), and basic silverware with some pots and pans and salt & pepper. There was no provided dish soap or sponge to clean the dishes but they provided this after requesting it. We stayed there for 6 nights. We did not request nor need housekeeping though our housekeeper, Rosa, was very sweet and hardworking and hastily provided us with ample towels, coffee pods and water bottles (2 bottles per day) upon request. The breakfast: The breakfast exceeded expectations. Over the course of our long stay, each day had different hot and freshly cooked breakfast items mixing Mexican and American cuisine along with pastries and fruits. The breakfast buffet was included with our room. The moment you sit down, they’ll offer you coffee. Shortly after, they’ll hand you a “bill” asking for your room number, signature and tip. We did not tip because all they did was simply pour one cup of coffee. They did not come to refill the coffee cup. When I went up to get my own coffee, they gave me a look and took the coffee tumbler away. How about you guys earn my tip? Perhaps refill the coffee or my juice cup? Engage in conversation rather than being on your phones behind the counter after pouring one cup of coffee. Earn the tip for exemplary service. Pouring one cup of coffee then hastily delivering the bill while we started to eat is not the way to go. The pool & spa: The rooftop pool was a nice touch. It was heated and even in 70°F weather, it felt amazing. It is not 24 hours though. The spa including the steam room, sauna and jacuzzi were open 24 hours. The steam room and sauna were really nice. The jacuzzi was much smaller than anticipated and could fit maximum two adults and two smaller children comfortably. The water wouldn’t go past the shoulders once inside the tub so the water level was lower than anticipated. Still, it was a nice way to relax at the end of the day. The pool and the spa amenities were private for us to use for the most part so we did not have any issues overlapping or seeing other guests while using it with the exception of one time for the jacuzzi. We utilized the steam room and sauna while waiting for them to finish with the jacuzzi. The service: Daniel, the luggage handler, and Rosa, our housekeeper were friendly and amazing. The others working there were alright. The doorman was absolutely useless. They varied in their shifts and days but every single doorman that worked during our 6 nights there was useless. They saw me struggle with the door and did not help. They had one job and it was to open the door yet they were on their phones all the time. Definitely not worth tipping. The front desk people were nice but their service did not stand out to me. The maintenance man was impatient. How were we supposed to know that if we used the microwave and stovetop simultaneously, it would blow the fuse for our room? This happened twice. Took off one star off my rating for this issue. Took off another star for the useless doorman and impatient maintenance person. The three stars come from the spacious, clean and tidy room, breakfast, spa amenities, and for Rosa and Daniel.

The staff seem wonderful. And I understand that there may be great rooms at this hotel. But they have an entire tower of rooms that front a highway. This is a two-star budget hotel at four or five star prices. Truly one of the worst hotel experiences I've ever had. In addition to the window-shaking 24 hour traffic noise, the wifi is spotty and intermittent and the bed sheets and pillows are frankly disgusting. Overall, you'd be better off choosing any other hotel.
