Gorgeous guesthouse in a quiet neighborhood, with a delicious and artistically-prepared hot breakfast. We loved getting to know the hosts, and we appreciated both the fact that we could walk a mile to old Edinburgh through a pretty park and come back to an oasis of peace after a busy day of sightseeing. Highly recommended!

Great location! Lovely owner!! This guest house is located just a 30 minute walk south, outside of the downtown core area of Edinburgh. It's off of a main street with a couple of nearby local pubs, an easily accessible transit line, and a lovely view! There are also nearby grocery stores and convenience stores for any snacks or beverages you might need. As far as the B&B itself, Simon provided a welcome email with easy to follow directions with contingencies for whether he was present or not upon your check-in. Each morning we were able to select from delicious and healthy breakfast options. Continental breakfast options are available for those leaving early or waking up after the breakfast service and Simon himself makes sure breakfast is lovely every morning. My spouse and I booked fairly last minute but had no issues with securing a time slot and Simon was incredibly accommodating despite being full otherwise. The rooms are immaculately renovated and comfortable. Couldn't recommend this as a place to stay more highly!! Absolutely loved our time here.

I loved everything about my stay here! Amazing host! Simon was super friendly and helpful from the start - everything is organised so well, you get all the information you need from the start and very quick response to all queries. Pretty! Everything is just as good as the pictures (I booked the 4poster bedroom and it is spectacular). I'm not sure if it's shown on pictures - but the building from the outside is really lovely, the hall and the dining room are beautiful. Everything is beautiful. Warm! With huge beautiful windows like this I was a bit worried (when booking) of it being cold , but it was very warm and cozy in the room Clean! All the drapes on 4poster bed and the carpet are incredibly clean. Everything else is super clean too. Tasty! Best haggis I tried was with full Scottish breakfast! Everything else was delicious too.

We stayed at the Lauderville guest house for 4 nights our room was so lovely and spotless, the bed so comfortable . Simon was an amazing host nothing was too much trouble for him. The breakfast was absolutely beautiful, fantastic variety. We cannot fault the Lauderville guest house in any way we didn't want to come home thank you Simon x we will be back 😀

This such a lovely, convenient located, quiet and quaint establishment that is perfect for a single or couple who are looking for a relaxing stay. The staff is incredibly accommodating and very nice. The facility is updated and in very good shape. The delicious breakfast variety everyday included was the cherry on top. Ease of entrance and exit. Had some light soft drinks available at all hours. Very much recommend the Lauderville Guest House.
