This is one of the best hotels we have been too! The rooms spacious and always clean above standard. Welcome water and coffee, soaps always refilled without even a request. When we arrived the staff very welcoming, special thanks to Vicente who checked us in, talked to us about things to do here, he always helped us around when needed. Absolute pleasure to have met him and learned bout Catalonia from him. Definitely recommend the stay here, the experience is amazing. The breakfast buffet is worth a try, food is fresh and staff always happy to assist and very friendly. Location of hotel is ideal, train station is walking distance, there is a mall and supermarket right opposite. The beach is walking distance too. Looking forward to coming back!

Solid typical hotel of this chain. Check-in was slower as I expected in a modern hotel today. 5 people arriving at the same time, 5 staff behind check-in counter and only 2 working. The process seems to be complex for them, mistake seems to be their software and prpcess. But it was still ok. Super friendly staff at check-in.

A large, clean, organized Marriott on the Mediterranean. If you're in Barcelona on business, there's much to be said for this hotel. There's a business center on the ground floor, breakfast includes plenty of options, there's an exercise room at the second level and and a lunch/dinner restaurant on the 13th floor with a view of the sea and the city. You can easily go for a quiet walk on the seafront. If, however, you are looking for proximity and easy access to Barcelona's major attractions, this will require some planning though there's always a line of taxis in front of the hotel. I enjoyed my stay here at the back end of a 6 week leisure trip through Portugal and Spain.

This hotel doesn't live up to the Marriott experience for the price; rooms are crammed but beds are very nice; gym is small but usable. Pool offers a nice view but it's fairly small and located by the bar /restaurant - making it very awkward to swim while others are having dinner. Breakfast is very overpriced even when I was offered a promotion of $16 per day.

This was a great hotel while we were in Barcelona around Sept 2009. The rooms were clean and spacious. I don't think Marriott owned/managed this hotel back then. I actually injured my self jumping into the pool because a tile slipped and I hyper extended my calf and tore my achilles tendon from the top. This put a damper on our 3 week trip on day 2 but, the hotel itself was a good deal at the time.
