Liberty Hall Tam Coc Hotel & Villa

Review for twin/double/family room Nice place to stay, the room itself is clean and great and comfortable. The free bike rental really made the trip as you can just hop on and off your bike when you feel like it and they're well maintained, and you can bike from town to see most attractions in a relaxed way while seeing the countryside. Some things to note, if you book the family room or twin rooms I don't think you don't have control over which room you'll get, for one night we got a room which says 'nature view' which is completely misleading as you actually have a complete indoor view onto the hallway with other rooms which has a fake green plant giving the 'nature view' I guess. We then changed to the other room for the rest of our stay which had a small but nice window onto the countryside so it was nice enough. The room, towel, bed, are very clean and comfortable but I realized by the end of my stay the dirty spoons and tea plates are simply being put back after being used, not changed, so I'm not sure if the cups are really being changed every time there's new guests, since it's hard to know when you've had tea. I then checked the glasses in the bathroom and inside the cups I saw some slime or dirt, so I don't think they've been changed in weeks. The bathroom was quite outdated, as well, so it started to feel like a budget hotel. L The breakfast doesn't always seem fresh, although the pho and fruit were very nice, and not much more stuff that I really wanted to eat. There's a 3% charge like others have said, which isn't disclosed in the hotel policies online or upon check in, and you find out at the end of your stay before paying, and there's not much you can do as you're in a small village with one or two ATMs that don't have the best reviews. We've paid directly at hotels quite a few times in Vietnam now and this is the only time we were charged anything at all. In this case it's not like there's a major bank that you can pass by to withdraw cash. The owner and workers are extremely nice and helpful. Overall a great place to stay to feel like you're visiting the countryside. Is it the best out of mediocre/decent options? maybe, maybe not, I didn't stay anywhere else.

We loved our stay here, from the kindness of the staff, to the food, amenities, and the rooms. Everything was clean and well maintained. It's close to the main street in Tam Coc, just a 3 minute walk, but enough distance that it's very quiet and serene with a nice rooftop lounge. Highly recommend!
