Lilium Luxury Suites

Stayed for ten days. The rooms are clean and new and spacious. It is like having a hotel but with more facilities like hot plate, some cutleries etc. The location is prime as it is in Istiklal street and the price is costly for non hotel Istanbul rates. The location while prime, it is also terrible with the heavy smoke congestion and noise, and no noise proofing in the rooms - so difficult to sleep with the parties and call for prayers every night. Worst of all, except 1 staff, we were treated with hostility by other service screw prohibiting our family members from entering the hotel to visit us. They threaten to call the police and only asked us to meet them outside the hotel. Every time we come in and out of the hotel, we were stopped and mostly frowned at. Very odd especially that we rented three rooms. Perhaps discrimination or just plain rudeness? It felt like we were unwanted guests. The hotel gave us the option before hand to request for airport pickup with additional fees which was fine, but during our stay of ten days, the service was poor and minimal. Our rooms were never cleaned, towels and sheets never changed and we were throwing our own rubbish and asking for toilet paper. Until we complained on the sixth day, then this was sorted out.

If you really want to explore Istanbul: this is the hotel to choose! From here (Taksim) you easily go everywhere, public traffic system works good and of course you can take a taxi everywhere. Nice to come back in our suite. Check in/out was easy and staff was very nice, thanks for making our visit to this great city even nicer!
