We booked an apartment with breakfast for 6 night and were very pleased with our stay at the hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful and whatever we wanted they were able to provide. We didn't bother with room servicing as the hotel donates the savings to a charity but anything we wanted (towels, toilet paper, etc) we just rang the desk and they were delivered in minutes. The apartment was spacious for 2 but could accommodate 4 with a bed settee. Kitchen reasonably well equipped but could do with a teapot and some coffee mugs (but they provided us with these from the breakfast room) and possibly some microwave dishes for soups etc. The bed was super comfy and large. The decoration was simple but pleasant with plenty of storage space for clothes and anything else in shelves, drawers and cupboards. The apartment was always warm but there was air conditioning if it got too warm (even in January). The breakfast was excellent with plenty of choices and endless supply of tea or coffee and the breakfast staff were extremely friendly. The hotel is only 2 minutes walk from the State Opera House and 2 blocks from the Musikverein and with plenty of choices for eating and shopping just metres away it was ideally situated. The tram stops and underground stations were also just a few metres away if you wish to travel further afield. All in all a great choice if you want somewhere within walking distance of all the major sights and with the flexibility of an apartment to self cater if you wish but with the added choice of breakfast on-site available I would highly recommend the Living Hotel.

We are from Southern California and booked this hotel for 3 nights in mid-December 2023. This was not what I expected! Pros: Great location. Close to public transportation and lots of famous attractions. The staff are nice and friendly. They have nice decorations and great wall art. We booked a suite and it was a decent size. Exactly like what we saw in the photos. They have a washer and a dryer on site that you can use for €4.50 per load. They have complimentary coffee and water available in the lobby. You can store your luggage after you check out. Cons: This hotel is super old!!! Our room floor would shake every time we were walking!! Their elevator is tiny, we couldn't even fit our 2 pieces of luggage and the two of us in the elevator! There is no restaurant or room service. Water would leak from the shower and make everywhere wet. I told them about the issue, they tried to fix it. It got better, but it was still leaking. They advertise having a "free mini bar", but there is no such a thing! Their definition of a "free mini bar" is 2 free bottles of sparkling water and 2 free bottles of beer every day. That's it! Completely different than the U.S. In conclusion, for this price, you can find better places. If you do end up booking at this hotel, lower your expectations.

We had a fantastic stay at this small boutique-style hotel. It is ideally located one block from the State Opera House. Access to the U1 and U4 underground lines as well as surface trams is under a 2 minute walk. The hotel itself was very beautiful, clean and comfortable. There is complimentary coffee and water in the lobby sitting area. The staff was extremely friendly, polite and helpful. The room was well appointed, very clean and comfortable. We had no issues whatsoever during our 1 week stay. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting this beautiful city.

I was surprised by this hotel. Yes, a few awkward things because of the nature of old buildings (had to go through a few steps to use an elevator). But you get to stay in a 19th century (or maybe earlier) building. The room has a very high ceiling, chandelier, and antique furniture. The bathroom is nice. Water from a top Austrian brand is free and complementary (same one I paid 20-30 Euros for in a Michelin star restaurant). Overall, what I liked is that I will remember this hotel.
