It's been more than a year since we stayed at Lotza but still have very fond memories of it. The location is about 15 minutes walk from Oia. And there are inexpensive bus rides from Oia to Fira. Oia is so much more beautiful than many other parts of Santorini. The location of the properties is perfect, not too far from Oia but far enough to be away from the tourist chaos. And as a result felt more authentic. We stayed in the villa with two bedrooms, a kitchen, living room and a bathroom. The villa was well kept and decor was lovely with a range of artifacts highlighting how Greek life would have been in the past. The architecture was interesting and unique in itself. We also had a large patio for ourselves and our own hot tub. Kids had loads of fun and refused to leave the hot tub day and night. The breakfast was served on the patio area daily and had a variety of things much more than what most could manage. The yoghurt was so good along with honey. The best of it all was the service l. Vasilis and the staff were always responsive. We linked up with Vasilis via WhatsApp all the time. He helped us book a private cruise and rental car. It was that personal access and the really friendly attitude made the whole experience personal and less corporate compared to the big establishments. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thanks to the team.

We stayed here for one night and it was absolutely beautiful, we had lovely staff who were welcoming, took our luggage as soon as we got down from the car, they explained all the local amenities nearby and assistance was provided whenever needed. The room was quite spacious and had our own private hot tub which had a lovely view of the Aegan Sea. Walking distance from main town and local shops nearby open till 1-2am perfect to get a midnight snack!!

The studios were fantastic, the breakfasts amazing and the service perfect. Just a little remark : for our point of view there is not enough storage for clothes. 3 good restaurants close to Lotza studios. 7 mins walk to Oia : beautiful village and extraordinary view but extremely touristy.

Cave-style rooms were charming. Loved the outdoor jacuzzi and pretty deck. Complimentary breakfast brought to the room daily and set out on patio, which was a lovely way to wake up. Several very good restaurants within 5 mins walk. 10-min walk to Oia but Finikia feels much more authentic, far quieter and away from all the Instgrammers and cruise ship passengers. In fact, to be honest, we hated Santorini for how inauthentic and overly touristed it is. What a shame for a place that would have otherwise been so charming back in the day! Nonetheless, if you feel compelled to go there for your bucket list as we erroneously did, Lotza was a great option, and Vasilis (manager? Owner?) was incredibly professional, responsive and helpful. Note that Lotza overlooks the east side and thus doesn’t have caldera views, but that also helps to keep it more affordable. Would def recommend Lotza for anyone coming to Santorini and who wants to be in Oia but doesn’t want Oia prices and tourists.
