Proper Thai experience with excellent prices. Run by lovely Thai people. ‘Pinky’ who looks after the accommodation is very kind and a great host. ‘A’ runs the bar is good at English, very welcoming and a funny guy. Can order you authentic Thai food at the best prices and is extremely helpful with anything you need. 10/10 would recommend.

Lucky Mother is a totally underestimated and under appreciated gem. If you want to escape from the westernized party scene on Chaweng Beach for just a couple of hours, there’s no better place to be. ‘A’ runs the bar there in the off season and he is the most delightful, kindest and funniest local. If you want a great Thai experience, ‘A’ is your man. He took me around the island on his scooter at no expense and was just happy to help. You can enjoy some great views and lax vibes on the beach at Chalay - a real Jamaican feel.

This place offers a terrific value. The bungalows are near the beachfront and just off the main street so you have the best of both worlds. The quality of the rooms and the cleanliness is super. The bathroom is new, clean and spacious. You have your own little terrace in front of the bungalow to hang out. It's an amazing value for just 600THB for an air conditioned unit. The lady who is managing the place is super easy going and very practical too. It's a real gem to be found.

The room was spacious and clean. There was air conditioning and a refrigerator. The hotel was in a good location. However, there was a lot of noise at night. The owner was rude and she didn't care when we told her that the neighbor was making a lot of noise at nights. Owner didn't say hello back or smile once during our stay. However, the cleaners were nice to us.

450 baht/night @@ June 2023 Lucky Mother Bungalows offers clean, spacious, affordable accommodation that is fabulously located near the harmlessly hedonistic chaos of Chaweng Beach,.. and offers BEACHSIDE access 🤩. Arranged along a well kept walkway that eventually passes through an open bar & seating area onto the white sands of Chaweng & BoPut beach. From the steps of the Lucky Mother Bar you can go left towards a set of small islands that are just off shore and accessible during low tide. !!BeWARe of SEA URCHINS!! Welcoming staff made my stay all the more memorable & enjoyable. If you stay long enough… you will likely experience the same 🤩🤩🤩🤩
