This place was a let down. The communication between them and verbo was terrible. They couldn't find my reservation and it had been confirmed and basically just sent us outside. They allowed me to connect to the wifi to try and find a ride to another location. The cell service isn't the best there. And the gentleman working wasn't really willing to help us after just trying to call the owner. It's at the top of the hill expect a lot of waking as uber and bolts are hard to get to leave... pre book your ride out of town if you can.

This hotel when called open discriminated against my attempt to book a weeks stay with a working Service Animal that is traveling with me from the USA. I will be reporting this to our and the SA tourism board.

1 star for location near Boulder beach. But hotel is on top of mountain so the walk is not a nice one for little kids. 1 star for friendly staff & a clean room Room was stuffy as it had no air conditioning & no windows. There’s a door that you can open and let air in along with dirt & leaves from outside. The floor was covered in dirt every morning. There is no restaurant in hotel as advertised. Maybe there was in the past, but there’s no place to eat nearby except 20 min walk into town. There’s frequent blackouts which are normal in Cape Town & surrounding areas, but this is not normal if you a tourist visiting for the first time. The hotel should inform visitors about these daily power blackouts & provide guidance. Unless you are planning to hang out at penguin beach everyday, avoid this hotel & location.
