DANGEROUS, RUDE, ANTAGONISTIC Believe the reviews that warn about this place….incredibly rude, aggressive , volatile, explosive! We were frightened! The villa is beautiful on the outside. Room photos do not tell the story. Read all the reviews that state the terrible accommodations. We stayed in #5 which is like a hovel. The twin beds are shoved where the sitting area once was. The dresser is under the stairs, reachable only if one bends and contorts. The only closet is a cupboard with 6 hangers, a shelf and a drawer. Host shows you how to kick the bottom to close the door all the way. The “kitchen” is not a kitchen but a small hallway with a sink, an electric kettle, a hot plate and a dorm room fridge. The only outlet is near the bathroom door so if you use the kettle, you have to set it on a chair below the outlet. Then turn that off and plug in the hot plate, also set on a chair. It’s a fire hazard. There is peeling paint above the fridge from the dampness. The view from that room is of old bottles set high in crates. If you want an iron, you have to haul all your clothes to the reception area and iron in his presence. Want to use the jacuzzi? Pay per person extra. Office recommendations are strange and useless. I asked for directions to the nearest market and was directed to a market 1/2 mile away when right across the promenade is a mini market with everything one might need. Host seems to be at odds with neighbors and complains about guests to other guests. We looked for another place to stay after he yelled and screamed at me but there was only one night left and nowhere to go. So we barricaded the door with chairs to feel safe. I think he had a sobering moment when he realized he’d behave extremely badly, but instead of apologizing he emailed Booking site and claimed I had never shown up for the booking while I was STILL ON THE PROPERTY! I think it was his way of keeping me from being able to leave a review. The only other person/employee I saw there was a lovely housekeeper and she seemed to cringe and shrivel up in his presence. I would NEVER stay there again. Santorini is beautiful but staying with this hot head is too high a price to pay for it. It’s a bad situation. Stay away!
