I rated the Midtown Guesthouse 5 star on the room as it was very clean and fresh. The luxury double bed was as advertised, like sleeping on a cloud even, very comfortable indeed. Onsuite toilet with electric powershower, which was well needed after a few busy and tiring days. The communal shared kitchen was adequate. However, I did not use it, and so was the lounge, too. Fast WiFi with free view in room. I felt very secure with coded door locks and cctv. Highly recommend staying. My first hotel around the corner was not pleasant at all. Main Bus route just a few blocks away with local shops, takeaway, and cafe just across the road. I had no disturbances whilst here and was even contacted via what's app to ensure everything was alright. If you're local to Liverpool, you may know the area isn't the best, but then it's what you make of it. I had no problems and found some nice sociable people to chat to on the street that was very friendly. Many thanks for a lovely stay.

Came for a weekend away with my Mrs. Initially was told room would be ready at 3pm, got a message from the accomodation saying it wouldn't be ready until 4pm due to a repair in the room, which we had no issue with. Got there at 4pm to be greeted by a lovely cleaner who understandably was not aware of our situation. We tried phoning and messaging the owner of the venue but got no answer. Eventually he turned up at 4:50 to tell us the room will be ready soon, but by that point we managed to find alternative accommodation which was ready immediately. Would not recommend sadly.
