AVOID!!!!!! The air conditioning does not work, it just makes noise but doesn't blow cold air. There was a another fan in the room that must be plugged in, this also did not work. The toilet extractor fan also did not work. The toilet is too small for an human adult, we found it very difficult to close the door while sitting on the toilet.. The light in the toilet did not work correctly, as it was a movement sensor based light but you have to be standing for the detector to detect you, so when you sit the light goes off and you are sitting in the dark. The balcony door wouldn't open or close properly, i had to use a lot of force to get it to open/close. The window shutters did not work so only light coming in was through the balcony door. The sink was ridiculously small, like something that would be used in a school for very small kids. The water from the tap in this sink was very low pressure and barely worked. The tv didn't work, it had a red power light but it wouldn't switch on. The shower unit was loose and not attached to the wall or ceiling so it would rock from side to side when you are using it. The bed is very uncomfortable and difficult to a decent sleep in. There is no sound insulation and there is lots of noise from the street and other guests. The paint is peeling off the walls and the whole room is dilapidated. The breakfast was poor, I had a croissant and some watered down orange juice. That was enough for me. We had booked 3 nights in this place but after the first night we left and for an extra €15 per night, we found a much much nicer place and closer to the Ribeira area.

It was our first visit of Porto and the whole room was just awful. I thought that this is a standart for the price range in this country but as I was traveling through the beautiful Portugal I luckily found out it was not the case. Shower was dirty One small blanket for two people One chair for two people Dirty balcony without chairs or tabel To be fair, food was nice.

Initially we were uncertain about the location and the room. However, once rested: we booked two single rooms with a private bathroom- our view softened. These are not ensuite, you need to use room key to open and lock. Fine once accustomed. The TV in the room has English stations, there is a wee balcony looking inwards. It's a basic room but comfortable and well looked after, the rooms are cleaned every day. If you're not good with keys it might be frustrating, hard if you need glasses. Beware the shower! There is a hand held shower head AND an impressive looking ceiling shower head which alternate with a handle. Do not attempt with shower doors open and START with hand held. You risk a flood or a scalding or both. Ask the staff to show you they are lovely. Lovely breakfast area, basic breakfast, fruit would have been welcome. A reasonable standard. Location is good, supermarket just around corner, close to bus station. Thank you to Paula and Adelaide. You are excellent hosts.
