Mission Inn

As soon as we arrived, the attendant at the front desk was so very kind, knowledgeable and welcoming. She offered our family some bottled water, and provided great information. Although a bit interesting that their breakfast space is located upstairs, separate from the main entry space, their continental breakfast that is included with the room was better than most. They had a waffle maker, oatmeal, and breakfast sandwiches, along with the typical cereals, coffee, and bagels. They also have a lovely outdoor seating area with a fountain, among greenery. Our double bed room had two queens, and plenty of space. It was clean, and comfortable too. Personally enjoyed the shutters on the windows instead of curtains! It's across the street from a grocery store, and food options are within walking distance. Only drawback is being a bit too far to walk to the boardwalk, but we knew this going in, and the prices were just right. Finally, their ice machines are GREAT! You can get a lot quickly! Would definitely stay here again.

So this would be a three times I’ve stayed here in the last year and wished I had remembered how amazing this place is after my first stay I’ve stayed at other hotels and even Hilton Scott’s Valley (which was by far the worst one) and I’m an honors member! I really loved the room I stayed in last night too because of the location of the room. Everyone was just really outstanding and my room smelled clean and not overpowered with harsh cleaning products but a fresh smell:) I wish it was closer to downtown but there are downsides to being in downtown. There are houseless individuals around there but I’ve not encountered any on the property and if you stay downtown Santa Cruz proper, believe me, you will get wayy more of those and dangerous ones hanging out in the parking areas, lobbies, etc There was a glitch in the card reader when I checked in last night but it seems to be going on everywhere lately. It was taken care of soon enough. The front desk folks go out of their way to accommodate, especially Rebecca! :) The groundskeeper accidentally dropped a bunch of leaves and debris on my car as he was trimming trees above but he cleaned it off and actually washed my car and another housekeeper helped him to dry it off with clean cloths!! So, these folks are just great! Also they don’t upcharge you and you won’t find a bunch of fees that creep up at check out. The price was was perfect, rooms were so clean and the bed could use a softer topper but otherwise I’m just as happy as a clam and will stay there again soon and tell all my family and friends about it too! Thanks again and I always book straight away with the hotel property staff, never any other third party🙏
