Mitre House hotel is like you would all hotels to be: home away from home. This hotel is all about hospitality and a genuine human touch. From the moment you arrive till you leave (I was offered coffee), you aren't "processed" as is now so commonplace, but instead friendly and professional staff make you feel at home in the hotel. In the middle of the centre, the hotel is surprisingly affordable. The breakfast is homey and wholesome, there's very strong WiFi and free parking for those who come with a car. There are plenty of alternatives of course, but I will go back to Mitre House Hotel every time. Thank you Mike, Kate and all staff whose name I didn't register.

Loved the price and location and free parking. The rooms were fine, especially the fact we got adjoining room for son. Rooms were typical European budget rooms- built many years ago and on the small side. But the staff, the location were perfect just outside the “fee-to-drive zone”. Plus they have about 15 free parking spots out front and a free breakfast.

An obvious stranger to hotel accommodation. I was happy enough to find a hotel with vacancies on a Saturday night. The hotel is a bit more salubrious than I would normally want. But I had a very early morning rendezvous for the London to Brighton Vintage Car rally so it was quite important that I would get a good night's sleep. I loved the idea of trying out the accommodation for other occasions as well. I was up and away from the hotel so early in the morning. That I missed my cooked English Breakfast. Which was a shame. But luckily the weather was good so it was mission completed.

We stayed two nights in this hotel, to participate in the London Half Marathon. Sunny staff, very helpful and kind, who met all our requests. They left a room at our complete disposal even after check out time to allow us to take a shower after the race. Excellent English breakfast. Top location, a stone's throw from the metro. We will be back again next year. The Flintstones

It serves its purpose. The hotel is clean, the area is safe, and it's close to Paddington Station. Beyond that, keep your expectations at a minimum. Rooms are small, and decor is dated. Also, they still use a medal room key that you have to give back whenever you leave the hotel. They claim is so they know who is in/out of the hotel. A little too 'big brother' for my liking. It's time to invest in an electronic room key system and give guests their privacy.
