First time here in Kyoto traveling with families and friends, and Miyako was our first choice. We are very happy that we did. It’s so convenient to the station. Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean, big rooms. Accessible to the trains and restaurants and shopping - so convenient. Super highly recommended. Will definitely stay here again!!!

Location can be good or bad depending on your needs. It's best suited for anyone making a stopover at the station but for longer stays it can get frustrating because hotel entrance can be hard to find depending on where you enter the station from and you'll always have to deal with the massive crowds when going in and out. Rooms are very close to the train tracks but still surprisingly quiet and I had no trouble sleeping. It has a feeling of older hotel but room was clean and maintained. Only issue I had was that couple towels had really unpleasant sharp smell. Overall it is definitely a step-up from small business hotels but personally I would next time a pick hotel outside the station.

Super convenient location with friendly staff. It was clean and not as small as other hotels we stayed at. Surprisingly we didn't hear much of the trains. The buffet breakfast was pretty good. Unfortunately there is no coin operated laundry and wifi never connected properly. Not bad for a 3 star hotel.

A Big No for indian families , I recently stayed at this hotel with my family and booked a twin bed room, hoping it would comfortably accommodate two adults and two kids. However, I was extremely disappointed with the size of the room. It was incredibly tiny and cramped, leaving us with hardly any space to move around or store our luggage. Furthermore, the beds were terribly uncomfortable, resulting in sleepless nights for all of us. I strongly advise against choosing a twin bed room if you're traveling with a family of four. It would be much wiser to opt for two rooms with king-size beds instead. The only positive aspect of this hotel is its convenient location right by the station. However, given the discomfort we experienced due to the room size and beds, I cannot recommend this hotel to families seeking a comfortable stay.

Rooms were alright. Very small but got the job done. Room service staff are very nice and accommodating. They even apologized when we came back in the middle of their cleaning, which was not a problem. Furthermore, I thought the hotel breakfast was amazing. The food was delicious and there were plenty of options. Staff was very nice as well. Although I think the food should be covered as I saw some guy cough into the scrambled eggs.
