Monart Hospitality Cavour

The room was very pretty with a lovely small balcony overlooking the city. The ensuite bathroom was big enough with a great shower and facilities in it. The breakfast each morning was served by the charming hostess/owner Monica who was very helpful with advice on what to do and where to go. The location was great in the fact that it was very close to the Musee underground station where both Line 1 and Line 2 run from giving great access to alot of city locations. Highly rcommended place to stay if in Naples.

We found Monart while Googling for a place near a Metro stop and the Archeological Museum. All the reviews were enthusiastic and mentioned Monica, Monica, Monica. Let us add our names to this growing list. Monica was there for anything we needed and offered even more. It started before we met. We were traveling with two heavy bags, and Monart is three floors up. She had her (male) friend meet us outside. He personally schlepped both bags up three floors of stairs. When we left, three days later, he not only schlepped them down again but drove us to the station to catch our train. We needed to check in by telephone with a local tour provider. I've studied Italian, but not enough to attempt talking on the phone. She made the call for us. We needed to do laundry. She offered to do it(!). We couldn't let her do that, but she did recommend a nearby self-service which worked out great. She was there each morning for breakfast, making sure we had enough and that everything in the room was OK. We had lengthy talks then, during which she was happy to let me try to speak Italian with her. Oh, the room – almost forgot. It was clean, comfy, and well appointed and you can't beat the price for what you get. Monart is three rooms, named, not numbered, on the third floor of a nondescript building with many other occupants. There is an elevator straight out of an old movie, but it is in another part of the building. If you use it, you need to walk across part of the roof to reach Monart's building, then down a flight of stairs. Or you can just use the stairs in Monart's part of the building. Bottom line: If you are in Napoli, stairs are not an issue, and you can use public transportation (the Metro is literally next door), do yourselves a favor and meet Monica. We're very glad we did.
