Montcalm Marble Arch Townhouse

DO NOT BOOK HERE! I however made the mistake of booking here for a business trip for two nights mid week On arrival it was 'compact' (read cramped) and was met with a security guard who was helpful in giving me my room card to room 2 This was downstairs and in the basement, which in itself did not cause any issues, however when opening the room I could instantly smell dirty drains. Without being able to open the window in the room (which looked out into a neglected 1m sq underground 'courtyard'), I immediately requested a room change at reception. A night spent smelling in dirty drains was not something I find acceptable for £125 a night I was told that the hotel was fully booked and they could not facilitate a room change As it was already late, I conceded and spent the night in the room after the team sprayed room freshener The following morning I was woken by a dropping noise that felt very familiar and close. When turning on the room light, I could see a consistent drip (almost a flow) of water coming from the electrical light fixture in the ceiling in the middle of the room. I suspect this was from someone taking a shower in the room above I quickly vacated the room and again spoke to the team at reception showing them the video I took of the water falling into the room To my surprise I was then told that the room above me was empty which contradicted what I was told about being fully booked the evening before. I stated I wanted a full refund and that I would not be able to stay another night, to then be told they could move me to another room after all. Again, this angered me considering the conversation twelve hours previous The room smelt very badly, was what I would consider too small and with a leaking waste pipe from the room above. As a result I would not recommend this hotel to anyone

I love it and I want to thank the stuff for being amazing. This is the best experience I had an London clean Cousy room air-conditioner and they have the best breakfast
