We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Muntri Grove. Though the outside looks nice and tropical, when we first arrived, we were not expecting to encounter such a lovely property, so we were pleasantly surprised. Though appearing small on the outside, our room was spacious, large, and immaculate. The bed had a nice firmness to it, and all necessary amenities were provided. The staff at the front desk was also very helpful and kind. Location wise—this guest house/hotel is in a great spot. There is also an upstairs lounging area (& kitchen) and a nice, small pool. I’d definitely stay here if I’m in the awesome city of Penang, Malaysia, again!

Excellent value hotel located in the heart of bustling George Town but far enough out to enjoy some quiet R&R. Staff were very attentive and can point you in the right direction with anything you need. Hawker centre & convenience store located less than a 2 min walk away & 5 min away from Love lane & all the busy spots. Would highly recommend if looking to stay in the area.

Could not fault our stay at Muntri Grove. The location was perfect for exploring Georgetown. The staff were very accommodating and helpful. They gave us great recommendations for food and sightseeing as well as ensuring our stay was comfortable. The rooms were large and beautiful. The pool was great and had shade in the afternoon for a refreshing swim. We really enjoyed our stay and would stay here again in the future.

We loved this hotel! The room was spacious with a sitting area and had AC. The rooftop pool was great - very few other people each time we used it. The staff was friendly, especially Joyce who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, give us recommendations for food and activities nearby, and even helped us book a bus ticket to travel to KL. This hotel is in a good location, in walking distance to food and sites, but on a quieter street. I would stay here again.
