First, I love everything about this hotel! The food- atmosphere, sleek decor, heartwarming staff, ease of access to all amenities. Atmosphere: outside of the hotel appears small, but as you pass the lobby- there's a makeshift traditional Kyoto street, which is perfect for pictures. If you did not bring your own cameras, do not worry. Staff will provide a photo ticket and will take the photos for you. Will definitely be back to experience this again!

This quiet little spot was better than we anticipated. Back in October 2023 my partner and I were scrambling to find Ryokans in Kyoto. We stumbling across this very last minute and booked. This was well above what we expected! After a busy trip in Tokyo and Osaka, this stay felt so relaxing and peaceful. The staff were incredible kind and accommodating, I wish we stayed easily. Please consider this place if you're looking for a place away from the city in Kyoto ❤️

I would rate this higher if I could so 5 stars will have to do. The service and staff are world class. The modern aesthetic and decor brings the more traditional elements up to contemporary levels of comfort. All the rooms are arranged down an alley making it feel like a small private village. The restaurant and lounge continue the service and quality making the entire experience feel like world class resort. Just keep in mind the construction of our two story room has the amenities on the first floor such that the shower leads out to the private bath but this means a lot of going up and down steep steps As a comparison, the quality of service rivals both of the Aman Resorts I've stayed at. I can't recommend this place enough, it is amazing enough that I proposed to my girlfriend shortly after we settled into our room.

From the moment we arrived we could tell that we were in for a treat. The staff was so hospitable and everyone was so friendly. My husband and I arrived in Kyoto earlier than our check in time and were able to leave our luggage at the hotel before arrival. When we were able to check in we were treated to welcome snacks and drinks and informed our luggage had been delivered to our room already. After a long day, this was amazing to hear! When we got to our room I was speechless. It’s spacious, luxurious, romantic, everything you could wish for! I will always recommend Nazuna Kyoto Tsubaki St. and will definitely be back should we find ourselves in Kyoto again. 10/10 recommend!

Came across this place while looking for onsens with a private bath and it was the best experience ever. We had a wonderful stay, greeted by extremely friendly staff. They went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect. The rooms are your own separate townhouse on a quaint street all to your own. It's like living in your own house in Kyoto away from all the hustle and bustle. We highly enjoyed our time here and would rate it above 5 stars if possible!
