Great location in central taksim istaklal street, all nighter street. Very convenient for metro tourism etc, galata tower is on 10 Mins walk. We had very Spacious room Now the problematic parts: bed mattress are not very comfortable very thin, the aircon is perfect, the hygiene is good we had cleaning lady everyday. This is just under 4* place so obviously no noise cancellation. The bed moves and chirps makes noise whilst sleeping moving on bed. The fridge doesn’t work properly. The hotel doesn’t have lift to go up first floor. And then on first floor you have lift. The reception is on 4th floor. So if you are young friends girls and boys stay is good, not a couple stay at all or for long stay.

I can't say anything about the rooms unfortunately but what I can say is that the nine Istanbul Hotel employees restored my faith in humanity. I went to Istanbul and within minutes of arriving my wallet with cash and all my cards got stolen and as I was supposed to be staying at the hotel (due to the theft I had to change plans), the staff was so incredibly helpful making me feel good again after that theft experience. They did everything in their power to help me and I will never forget how nicely I was treated by them. Thank you so much!

As it is maintain Istanbul, the lacking of English speaking was a problem when doing the check in to explain how the key at the building door works, though the guy was really friendly and pick up our luggage upstairs. Yes there are long stairs to reach the rooms so take it in consideration if you have heavy luggages. Despite of the old look of the building the room was very nice and clean which is the most important to me. One star loosing because of the stairs and English.

The house keeper and the owner were very nice. The room itself was as well. The roof terrace has a killer view too. The location is great: right in/next to the middle of the hippest part of Istanbul. I would recommend walking directly south and cross over the main shopping street. That neighborhood is super cute and charming. It’s only a 3-5 minute walk from the hotel.
