Great hotel for my one night stay. Received a nice recommendation for my first night out in Edinburgh and had a great time. Everything was very clean. The walls are a bit thin but no other neighbour's made any noise so there is nothing to complaint about.

The room was cosy and comfortable, and the staff was really attentive and helpful . Breakfast was delicious and cooked to perfection. We had an issue with a malfunctioning shower, but it did get sorted 👍 , and staff forgot our room service request. No resonable cost of parking was available locally .

Hugely overpriced, it’s more of a bed and breakfast than a luxury hotel. Our room was in the basement, spacious but worn and miserable. Our outside seating area was filthy and unusable. Breakfast was just about acceptable, but not acceptable enough to have it on our second morning, we opted to eat out instead. The ‘hotel’ is in dire need of refurbishment and staff training, until that time it cannot carry on charging their current rates. We left feeling completely ripped-off.

Not your typical hotel - more like a glorified bed and breakfast but with prices of a hotel 5 star hotel. It’s an old house turned into a hotel where the bedrooms were turned into rooms. The wee double room is very “wee” (tiny) not big enough for two people with medium suitcases. There is no a/c nor lifts so prepare to carry your luggage up the stairs. The warm reception we all want and expect is non existent - cold staff. Old TV with a remote that wouldn’t turn it on. Also lots of dust of top of the TV that makes you question the cleanliness overall. Breakfast was fine but there was clearly a flight between one of the servers and the chef and that is unacceptable. I had another reservation for this hotel but after my first experience, I canceled it.
