I stayed at this hotel when attending a works night out. Have to say the hotel blew my mind. It was such a breath of fresh air. From the moment i arrived to when the time i left its was like being at home. Checked in at the bar and had a free cocktail which was a nice surprise. The room was fab and they had even personalized my stay by writing a fab welcome on the mirrors. The room was super clean, very practical and the bed was super comfy. When i came back from our night out there hotel was buzzing, lots of people around still drinking and enjoying themselves. Breakfast in the morning was welcome hangover cure. It was a help yourself buffet ( they even had a pancake maker) Being so close to the city its a perfect location and i will be back for sure. Highly recommend this hotel

Book for three people and an English springer. One double bed and one single. Plenty of choice for the dog. Just big enough for an overnight a stay. Had a disabled bathroom which was well equipped. Lift to all floors, wheelchair access and parking outside. Other drivers have to park at another location 5 minutes walk away. £11 for ten hours but remember to get hotel to validate parking as normally double this. All areas of hotel were clean and well kept would definitely recommend all people and dog lived it.

Very comfortable room and well located within walking distance of the castle. Breakfast was chaotic and I chose to go out instead of negotiate my way through. Free cocktail on arrival was a nice touch. Would benefit from having more staff on duty.

Really great service here, staff had lots of knowledge and we got some great food recommendations and suggestions of places to visit. The rooms were clean and felt fresh, there was nowhere to hang towels which meant getting a little creative and the sheet on the mattress was unfitted and too small so it kept coming off and getting twisted but these are minor things. Those are the things that keep it from being 5* all around but they are VERY minor. Nice walk into the main centre through Grassmarket and felt like a safe area walking around at night. We would absolutely come back and loved the energy of the place.
