This hotel really shouldn’t be anyone’s choice in Rio given all the better options. Unlike all other hotels, they charge your card at check in. When I discovered a mistake, they told me it would be three months to refund. No latch lock on the door. Room safe did not work. Blood on the sheets. They refused to give me a new room even though the place was half empty. It’s a war zone directly outside and not safe for tourists. You have to Uber anywhere. Literally anywhere else would be better.

The location is not the best one and could be dangerous at night. DO NOT walk outside alone, always use Uber if you stay at this hotel. The area is surrounded with empty buildings and homeless people outside. Rooms are decent and breakfast was mediocre. Will not use it again in the future.
