We liked the hotel which was central and provided easy access to many city locations. The hotel is clean and quiet and we enjoyed the view from the 14th floor. The breakfast buffet could be enhanced with cheese and ham selection. We also enjoyed the hotel restaurants.

My recent experience at Novotel Ulaanbaatar left much to be desired, and unfortunately, I cannot recommend this hotel based on my stay. From the moment I walked through the doors, it was evident that the level of service and overall quality fell short of my expectations. One of the major issues I encountered was the lackluster cleanliness of the rooms. The carpets seemed outdated and stained, and the overall hygiene left much to be desired. It was evident that the housekeeping staff did not pay attention to detail, and I felt uncomfortable throughout my stay due to the subpar cleanliness standards. The customer service was equally disappointing. The staff appeared indifferent and uninterested in addressing the concerns of guests. Requests for assistance were met with apathy, and the overall atmosphere lacked the warmth and hospitality one would expect from a hotel of this caliber. The amenities, which should have been a highlight of my stay, were another letdown. The fitness center was poorly maintained, with malfunctioning equipment and a lack of basic maintenance. The dining options were mediocre at best, with limited choices that failed to meet the standard one would expect from a Novotel property. Additionally, the Wi-Fi connectivity was inconsistent and frustratingly slow, making it challenging for both business and leisure travelers who rely on a reliable internet connection. Despite its convenient location, the Novotel Ulaanbaatar failed to provide a comfortable and enjoyable stay. For the price paid, I expected a higher standard of service, cleanliness, and overall guest experience. I regret choosing Novotel Ulaanbaatar and would advise potential guests to explore alternative accommodations in the area for a more satisfying stay.

Possibly the worst Novotel ever stayed. Stayed twice with a one day break for 5 nights; 1) Breakfast was ordinary, some items were not replaced 45 min before the ending (ends at 10 am). Some were not fresh (putting items under the lamb and warm is a bad trick). There was no coffee plate etc 2) Turning on TVs was so difficult in both rooms. Remote control should be directed to a box behind the TV. Many channels were exist which is good. 3) Pretty disturbing water noise outside the room during the whole night at Room 702. Had difficulties to sleep. Electricity was not working for coffee machine 4) Room 1101 phone was broken, only speaker on the phone was working. When I asked for help the staff came and she could not speak English, finally I gave up 5) Elevator call button was not working at restaurant level in the first elevator 6) When we took the laundry bag, a lady followed us all the way with running to the car asked for money. We felt like a thief. We promised to return when we come back and our guide guarantee it, then we leave. Finally the hotel as under expectations. Needs a better management for sure.

I must say for this hotel being in Mongolia I was quite impressed. Rooms were large. They had all the amenities air-conditioning. Worked well TV worked well. We had dinner there and it was very good beautiful room to have dinner the pizza was very good the mushroom risotto, very good we had breakfast which was an excellent Buffet . It was one of the best omelettes I’ve had everybody couldn’t have been nicer if you’re in the area and you need a place to stay. This would work it’s not a great location. It’s further away from the center than I would’ve liked to have been

Tucked away from easy access to the city centre. Supposedly not an old building, but the door to the room we were offered didn't close or lock, electric lights didn't work. The young man spoke no English and would have left us there if the French chef hadn't chanced along and organised a change of room. Final room was not very clean but at least the door and lights worked. OK on a budget but for little more, far better on offer right in the centre of town.
