If you just need a bed to sleep on and nothing else matters I guess this could be your place. First, we waited a hour to check in, totally ridiculous. They were having some technical issues, but very unorganized how to resolve the situation, rooms were not ready at 4:00 even when check in is at 3:00. This is a one star motel not hotel. They need to take the word palace and beach club hotel out of the name because it is a far cry from both!! The street is super loud, and sitting around the pool there is pot and cigarette smoke floating around. 👎 the beach is across the street behind the nice hotels. The one little pool area on the other side is cute but loud by the street and that garbage behind it. I suggest spending the extra $50-$60 for a nice hotel. We stayed at Cambria up the road wish we would have stayed there again. That was worth it.

You get what you pay for.... The rooms were okay at best, but the photos of the exterior make it seem much nicer than it is in reality. The building is old and shows its age, to the point that the pictures online appear to have been touched up. When we arrived we were greeted with a lady complaining about her room being taken over by bugs and management doing nothing about it (we had a couple bugs in our room as well). Additionally, the beach was over 10 minutes to walk to, even though they advertised 5 minutes. The motel itself is 5 minutes from a beach, but it is not a public beach accessible to people staying at the Ocean Palace. I would say the listing is borderline false advertising and I would not recommend to a friend.

Was a little nervous after reading some of the reviews on here but it turned out to be better than expected. While the outside might look a little rundown the rooms are renovated, very clean and quiet.Front desk was quick and professional. Not on the beach though so it is a little bit of a walk: also ask for the nearest public beach entrance or you might find yourself walking a lot ..

Appalling Service and Absolutely Repulsive! I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the recent experience I encountered at this god awful hotel/motel Upon arriving, it became evident that the provided accommodations did not align with the favorable reviews we had seen. Dishearteningly, what was advertised as a hotel appeared more like a motel. We promptly decided not to stay and sought assistance from the individual at the front desk, who assured us that our reservation would be canceled. Regrettably, this situation took an alarming turn when we discovered that misinformation had been relayed to Expedia, falsely indicating that we had checked in. Such deceptive practices are both unacceptable and deeply concerning. I feel compelled to dispute the charges associated with my reservation through my credit card provider, and report this god awful place. The establishment has an unpleasant odor, and the service quality is subpar.

I chose this hotel for my one day on the beach walk to restaurants and be where the action is without driving and it was perfect. The rooms are spotless. The location is across the street from the beach and walking distance to the fabulous eateries on Lauderdale by the Sea. It's not a 5 star resort, the hotel is not brand new and it doesn't claim to be. You get what you pay for and I didn't pay alot but what they offered was perfect and a very good value. I also left some stuff in the room after I checked out and do you know when I called, they set it aside for me to pick up. You can't ask for more than that. 5 stars in my book with a big sincere thank you to your honest staff.
