I hate the rooms, they are very small. The rest is good

I’ve lived here for 8 months and it has so many problems. One the heater is broken, downstairs can be cold but the bedrooms are burning hot. The cleaners barely clean it correctly. The shower broke multiple times and my safe was broken the day I moved in and still isn’t fixed. They have so many rules and no guests are allowed inside unless they pay to stay the night in a separate room.

I have paid for a spacious room with kitchentte but upon my arrival I receive a very small cubical claiming that there are no rooms available. After a Turkish friend contacted them I was immediately moved to a different room. The room I originally paid for. The service was horrifying and rude at times, internet hardly worked and was super slow most of the time with constant disconnections. As for my refund, I have been trying to receive it for the past 2 months but to no avail. Highly recommend to stay away!

I have no other choice than to give one star to this place. Students, read carefully contracts you sign with them. They have no force majeure sections in it, you are responsible for a lot of things and Republika is, strangely, not responsible for anything. All your money will be their in ANY case. The money you pay them - don't even be silly trying to return them in case something happens, it is just not in the contract. They organize their contract so that it fully suits their management needs and not student's. If something happens, you will be the one to blame, your money will be gone. They will make you responsible for the things you are not. Just what kind of service is that?? Beware of this place, it will simply robb you, leaving you with nothing and helping with nothing.

I was there for 10 days, it was amazing and I tasted most of the Turkish food with the cheapest price possible. It was a good stay just remember if you smell cigarette smoke anywhere inside the hotel, call the reception and they will act immediately, I enjoyed study room, I almost spend my whole days there. With 10 minutes walk you have Bosphorus bridge and the nice harbor beside it.
