The room and facilities did not look as though they were advertised. It smelled like smoke, even though they advertise as non-smoking. Brown water came out of the faucet when I turned on the shower. The walls were paper thin, where we could hear someone vomiting for nearly all of the two hours we were there. The AC barely worked in the room, and everything was run down. They offered to "upgrade" my family and I to a room that had a moldy shower curtain and was just as drab, and there was a dead fish with parasites floating in the fish tank in the lobby when I arrived to check in. I could go on, but the big thing that blew me away was the unwillingness to refund even two of my three night reservation because I wasn't comfortable staying with a 16 month baby. We still chose to leave and stay elsewhere. My credit card company, however, is refunding me fully. In addition to everything I wrote above, I found it strange that the manager tried to justify the fact that the photos used were nearly 10 years old, as if it was normal to have a hotel that looks beautiful online, and then hoodwink its customers with a hideous mess after they've checked in and paid. I suggested they update the photos, and I wish I would have taken more on my end. I was exhausted with my family after more than 20 hours of travel, and we just needed to get somewhere else more accommodating. If you're traveling with a baby, do not stay here.

We stayed 5 nights at Hotel Orussey One and were very satisfied with the stay. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room was a good size and was very clean. We had one of the corner rooms with a large panoramic window from which there is a good view of the surrounding area. There was aircon, electric kettle and a fridge and it worked. The bathroom was ok with plenty of hot water and a really good shower. The bedding was clean and the bed very good. It is quiet and peaceful here and the place is centrally located in the city. There was wifi that worked well. The breakfast was a buffet and it was excellent. On the top floor you will find the swimming pool with a pool bar serving drinks and food at reasonable prices. It has been a pleasure to stay here and all in all we definitely recommend this hotel.

There is only 1 elevator for all 12 floors (include guest & staff), I need to wait for a while to go up/downstairs. Swimming pool is narrow. Receptionists are not professional. A female staff, with bad attitude, point her finger and tell us to move to another hotel if we’re still confused about the service. The only 2 things I feel good: This hotel is near market and you can reach another busy-area (with coffee shop, minimart, bookstore, restaurant…) by walking. The cleaning-staffs are really hard-working to keep our room clean all the time.

We strongly advise you to not book this hotel. It is in no way as displayed on booking nor their webpage. The overall condition of the hotel is pretty used. Considering it age (we were told 8 years) this is oke. But it is in no way clean. We had mold in our rooms, bugs in the bathroom and in total no clean rooms. Upon request (after a longer chat since their English is to say not that good) we were offered an upgrade. To call it an upgrade is humorous. For example, one room had a veranda door as bathroom door. Very interesting… From the Hotel personell there was no willingness to help us. We decided to leave the hotel after one night. They refused to compensate us, even for the not used nights. So don’t book! EDIT: After the reply from the hotel I want to clarify the following. We did not go to another city. We stayed in Phnom Penh and booked the Luxcity Hotel - way better! As it can be seen from the photos, the rooms are not clean and the last shower photo shows the bugs in the shower. So why they insist on that we went to another city is not understandable. Maybe there unsurprisingly more unhappy guest and they are confused which one is complaining… Nonetheless I still urge you to not book this hotel.

We stayed here for a week and it was ok. Hotel only has 1 elevator so that was a bit frustrating. Our room had a comfortable bed with ceiling mounted A/C vents. The room safe was great and we liked our small fridge. Extra bottles of water are provided free of charge. For some reason, we had to turn on hot water in the sink to get hot water in our shower. What? Beyond bizarre. Breakfast buffet includes an omelette station, fresh salad & fruit along with a few bread and cereal options. Awesome espresso machine! Most of the staff speaks decent English. I would like to particularly compliment front desk employee Tao Suosdey. This young woman helped us activate our Cambodian SIM card and assisted us with booking van transportation to Siem Reap. She also answered our many questions in perfect English. Thank you Tao! 12th floor view deck is swelteringly hot with zero breeze. Views of the city are largely obscured. There are some lounge chairs but they were fully occupied when we were there. Sadly we ended up sitting on 2 hard uncomfortable chairs 👎🏿 The hotel offers an S21 Tuol Sleng + Killing Fields tour. I don’t recommend booking it. You will be pressed for time and it will be difficult to finish the respective audio tours. Go to these places on different days via Tuk Tuk.
