Do not stay here!! The whole property is infested with rodents and the hotel manager does nothing about it! I had bought a lovely box of chocolates as a gift that got completely chewed through. Also the cleaners broke my phone charger and nothing was done about it when I contacted the hotel! Absolutely disgusting!

Avoid This "Hotel"! My recent experience at the Palace Court Hotel can only be described as a nightmare. It feels wrong to even call it a hotel. It's a place I wouldn’t recommend to my worst enemy, as it left us deeply disappointed. From the moment we checked in, it was a continuous series of unfortunate events. First and foremost, our room had an unwelcome guest: A MOUSE. In the middle of the night, we were woken up by this visitor moving the plastic bag (the footage is attached below). Needless to say, this incident left us sleepless and concerned about the overall hygiene of the accommodation, which is terrible. After a restless night due to the mouse, the following morning, the fire alarm went off, causing distress among all the guests. However, the staff failed to communicate that it was a false alarm, leaving us in a state of panic as we rushed to the lobby in our pyjamas. The mouse was not the only issue as the list of problems with this hotel is endless. The water pressure in the bathroom was so bad, making even the simplest tasks like showering almost impossible. We couldn’t even think about washing our hair with that bad pressure. Additionally, we had to wait for at least five minutes every time we needed warm water in the shower, which is also ridiculous. Countless essential amenities are missing in this “hotel”. There was no lift, which is not good if you have heavy luggage or mobility issues. Furthermore, the absence of Wi-Fi in the rooms was incredibly inconvenient in this day and age. Our towel situation was equally absurd. On the second day, the housekeeping staff removed our used towels, but they didn't provide fresh ones until we specifically requested them. This lack of attention and disregard for basic guest needs was both frustrating and disappointing. Walking around the room was an adventure of its own, as the floor creaked loudly with every step, making it feel like we were staying in a haunted house. Adding to our discomfort, there was no trash can in the room. There was also an issue with the toilet not flushing properly, which made it inoperable and caused a significant inconvenience for basic needs. In summary, I cannot stress enough how much I would discourage anyone from staying at this “hotel”. Every moment spent there felt like a scene from a horror movie. Save yourself the trouble and seek out more suitable accommodation that prioritize your comfort and well-being.

We’re staying in room G04 and were awoken at 5AM by the sound of rustling through a plastic bag and as if a rat were running around the floor. This, in addition to the fact that the day before we found our bag CHEWED through. There were two holes in my bag and a ziplock airtight bag with cookies had been chewed through in over five spots. Not to mention that, since I hadn’t yet understood what had happened, I ATE a few of those cookies which, as it turns out, had been contaminated by a rat the night before. This leaves to question my potential health and if any disease had been spread over this food (that was in an isolated bag). As a response to this, the hotel has appeared to be completely negligent towards us. At 5AM we called the line and were lucky to have someone at the reception, who came to “inspect” the room but did not seem to be surprised by the occurrences (there have been 4 rat complaints on Booking regarding this hotel in the last month). He said that there was nothing he could do about the rat and was unable to even change our room as he didn’t have any spare keys… Besides the fact that our night of sleep was now ruined, we were stressed the whole time waiting for it to be 12 o’clock: the only time at which it was convenient for the “manager” to show up. In the time being we have made multiple calls to different numbers provided, and none of them are willing to do anything. The maximum they have offered is to transfer us from rooms but that’s not at all reassuring given the amount of rat complaints coming from different rooms. The guy we had on the phone even had the AUDACITY to justify this occurrence as something completely normal in London— washing away all accountability. Additionally, a maintenance guy came to the room with a glue gun after hearing what had happened, and, without asking any questions, approached specific parts of the room with a glue gun to fix the carpet— as if he knew exactly where the problems were. These people are not interested in the wellbeing of their customers or even making amends for the physical damages that have been caused or even compensate us for the previous nights. This hotel is not equipped with the facilities to be operated without a reception due to the fact that they can’t even handle a crisis from a distance. Furthermore, the questionable hygiene conditions leave a lot to say. The four people we talked to couldn’t care less and were apparently very accustomed to this type of issue yet had no plan in place to respond to it. We cannot be more exhaustive than to say that this hotel is in deplorable conditions with unequipped and careless staff that are only concerned about getting their customers out of the way without repairing damage or giving adequate compensation for their own mistakes.
