You'd think after paying $200+ per night that house keepers would be a little more honest. Don't leave anything in your room as it may not be returned and when calling house keeping they are just rude. The rooms are nice but otherwise they charge extra for everything, valet is $57, breakfast is $19, a historic fee of $17.

We stayed here last summer. No pool, breakfast not included, it's around $20 per day. The reasonable price we saw online was not the case. When we arrived, there was a $150 per day incidental fee, so be expected to pay that. No ice machines, but they doo have complimentary bags, but the freezer isn't big enough to hold it, so it was a waste every time. There was a Rouse market about 2 blocks away, we walked there and grabbed things. It's a beautiful hotel, but it's not worth all the additional hidden fees.

Amazing as always; from front desk staff to valet workers to bartenders! Rooms were beautiful and the hotel’s location is great. I could have easily stayed in this area for the entire 3 days.

NEVER stay at this hotel. I have never been treated so egregiously. I had a prepaid reservation for Friday and Saturday and arrived at 230am. I was told I’d have to wait about 40 minutes to an hour to check in since I didn’t call to notify of late arrival. Rooms were available but their “system was down” for inventory. After waiting more than an hour and half (now after 4am) in their lobby, they finally told me my reservation was auto cancelled and I’d have to rebook for Saturday (paying twice the rate I reserved) plus over $70 for an early check in fee. This is after losing the prepaid reservation fees I paid for BOTH nights. They maliciously kept giving me conflicting information so I wasted hours of sleep in the middle of the night when I had paid for the day/night I wanted to use for a room that sat empty. I ended up having to walk to neighboring hotels at 430am alone in the pouring rain to be refused by many for no rooms available. This is unacceptable on every possible level.

My experience is that this place is trying to maintain its "luxury" status but fails in many aspects. First of all there is no designated parking. Guests are forced to pay for public parking downtown $50/day or park elsewhere on the street. Why not including parking fee in the room price raising it additional $50? The place had a door man but he opened the doors with his foot for some reason literally kicking it open in front me. Wow, what a welcome! The credit card machine did not work and I had to write everything down for them on paper. Why don't they have manual card scanner/reader instead? The breakfast is not included and costs $19/person and it is not served on time either. I waited and waited and waited and then finally left because it was never served. Overall feel is that the current management inherited a beautiful place but they have no idea how to run it. It is very sad to see.
