My partner and I stayed 3 nights in the Signature King room and had a wonderful experience. The staff were so kind and attentive; they gifted us a bottle of wine on our first night and checked in on us a couple of times to see if we needed anything. The room itself was definitely the nicest I've ever stayed in ! The curtains and lights could all be controlled from your nightstand. The bathtub was huge and there was a heated floor in the bathroom. Also, the room smelled amazing, and when I emailed the hotel to inquire what they used I received a prompt response. I do wish that transit was a little bit closer just because it was raining and cold while we were there, but the walk would be lovely in the summer. Definitely glad we decided to splurge and will be staying here again next time we're in Vancouver!

Before arrival I read some reviews and was contemplating cancellation, due to comments about entry via a small alley and one comment with occasional dead rat sighting. I'm so thankful I gave this hotel a chance! The back entrance is a great idea, away from the busy traffic of the main road, and the alley is an unmarked, clean and wide 2 way street. I don't know what those reviewers are complaining about. Our experience so far has been amazing. The staff are very warm and eager to assist, I must give a special mention to Andrew the concierge, who helped us book our ride to our next stay and even organised our return day to the airport so that it will run smoothly and we can maximize our experience in Canada. Very thoughtful and kind. The room is very comfortable. It is now middle of winter and the floor by the vanity is heated. At first the room appears very exposed, but there are shades and curtains in place to overcome that when the room is in use. Of the facilities we've only used the billiard table so far, and we love it. They have a good size range of cues for their pool table, it feels like an 8ft. There's also a football table. The location is wonderful for city exploration and central to many art galleries and museums. I highly recommend it.

Company Christmas Dinner. As a former F&B hotel management employee for 30 years, I have to confess that their banquet execution of under 100 guests is one of the best I’ve seen. Let’s start with the service: I was awed with the staff’s positive attitude from the bartender to the captain. I detected some of the servers were inexperienced when hired but were trained and molded to the high standard of the hotel, credit to the banquet manager. What impresses me the most is the quality of the food and how it was manned. Dinner was scheduled for 7pm but we did not start until 7:45pm, that’s a nightmare for the chef whose paramount mission is to serve the food fresh especially the hot items. Except for the Turkey that was slightly over its tenderness due to the 45 minutes sitting in the chafing dish, all items were in its prime for consumption. Furthermore, the buffet table was never left unattended with the captain reporting the movement using her iPad. Behind this single-lined buffet was this server constantly tidying up and directing the guests to the carving station. It might be different when an event has 500-1000 guests, but I think with their positive attitude and good planning, they’ll be able to adjust easily. Great job guys! From a proud former Banquet Manager.

So we stayed here shortly after it reopened as Paradox. They were working some kinks out but all understandable and fixable. We were a particularly noisy group which was ok as we had multiple floors to ourselves, mainly because of the aforementioned noise issue. The problem is the level of noise transfer from the hallways/elevator lobby was shocking. We have stayed in a lot of hotels of all price range and quality. This is an expensive hotel by any measure and its beautiful with amazing views and amenities. A pool that turns into a night club!?! Shut up!!. But hearing people talking loudly in the hall, in my bedroom, not even near the door. I was honestly shocked.

Everything about this hotel is exceptional! This hotel is impeccable, the staff is friendly, professional and welcoming. The Club is amazing and very diverse. The restaurants are fabulous 👌🏽. The concierge Andrew went above and beyond to assist me in my excursion to Sea to Sky. I hated to leave after staying five days I wanted to just move in🤣 because my view from my room was amazing the bed was extremly comfortable and I loved the slick contemporary style and design
