I was there in February, the hotel is not very modern, but has a heartwarming service, by the owner and also partly his family. For the greeting, we had a very good tea, the best I've had so far ever. While that, our room was done by his wife while he made the business part with my dad during tea. He gave very helpful advice about the localities and was really always friendly and offering. The beds were comfortable, we stayed one night, although he offered us another one for free. Kindness really got written big here. His sons also were in for some smalltalk. If I ever go near Petra, I will sleep here. It is also possible to go up the roof, which has a good view over the inner city around Petra. I was up there at night, enjoying the prayers of the mosque, check the Video.

Nice owner, friendly guesthouse. Simple room interior, very basic bathroom. We stayed in December and it was freezing cold in the room. I'm glad we brought towels as we weren't given any. Wi-Fi (at least in room 2), was very bad. Breakfast was good, simple, but very expensive. 12 JD for two omelettes, some bread, a bit of hummus, some halawa, some marmalade, a few slices of bell pepper and some olives, plus two cups of tea. In Amman a comparable breakfast would have probably cost 1 JD or 2. The absolute benefit of the home stay: the location! Yes, the hill is extremely steep, but there are few affordable options to stay so close to the entry to Petra.

Stayed here for for 4 nights visiting Petra and I'm glad I chose this home. The owner and son who take care of this property are very accommodating and friendly. If there were any problems the owner fixed it immediately. I asked the owner to change the shower head because it was not holding up properly and he fixed it within 30 minutes. He quickly went and got a new part and changed it right away. Every evening they would check what time I wanted breakfast for the next day, so like I said they're very accommodating and provide great service. if you need dinner prepared for you, they can also do that too for a fee. The difference with this place is the owner really cares. Thank you Issa and family for your hospitality
