A Disappointing Experience Unfortunately, my recent stay at Shuteye Hotel was deeply unsatisfactory, and I cannot recommend it to others. The primary issue was the overall quality and service. Despite the high cost, the hotel was shockingly subpar, resembling more of a private room hostel than a professional establishment. The room's condition was alarming. The hotel's cleanliness was severely lacking, with dirty surroundings that were immediately noticeable. The bathroom situation exacerbated the problem, with a blocked shower that overflowed with water, creating an uncomfortable and unhygienic environment. Moreover, the bathroom itself was not well-maintained, adding to the overall sense of neglect. Security and accessibility were major concerns during my stay. After returning from a work party, I discovered that the lock on my room door was non-functional. With no staff on site, it took an hour of waiting on the stairs before assistance arrived. Even then, it required an additional 40 minutes for a second staff member to address the issue. I slept at the top of the stairs for over an hour whilst it was being fixed - see photo. This incident was so distressing that I didn't trust the door to function properly on the second night, leading me to stay at a different hotel nearby. In conclusion, my experience at Shuteye Hotel was highly disappointing. The lack of cleanliness, malfunctioning facilities, and poor response to security issues are unacceptable, especially considering the high price. I strongly advise against staying at this hotel.
