nice studio with kitchen, full bathroom with tub, easy access (never met any staff, was over holidays), biggest drawback is thin walls/doors and can hear everything in adjacent rooms.

This was my first time in London and I selected Moorgate by Cove as my accommodation for a week. I know I rated this a 5 stars and it truly was a 5 star experience. From the size of the rooms, luxury feel, cleanliness, service, thoroughness in emails, it all came together really well. I was impressed by the washroom, gold cage room, size of large studio apartment, and the customer service. I needed extra hangers and they were able to provide that immediately too. Whenever I had questions, you just had to text a number and they'd get back to you. The water supply was out for a few hours one day and they made sure I was aware of the issue and I appreciated that communication. Overall, I'm excited to come back and stay at other Cove locations!

Fail 1: The map they provide for the entrance has a very nasty staircase which you climb only to find a lift up from another entrance. We almost killed ourselves carrying our luggage up the stairs. Put the right entrance with the lift on the map. Fail 2: the safe is not attached to the wall. Useless. Might as well say to a potential thief "here are all our valuables - pick this up and take this away" Fail 3: no shelf in the bath/shower for any of your own products that you may have brought Fail 4: the cutlery and cooking utensils are in a drawer at the lowest level in the kitchen under the oven, which means that if you've opened the oven you can't get at anything including the oven mitt. Fail 5: Only 2 dishwasher tabs provided for a week. Happy to buy bog roll, but not buying a full box of tabs

First, I stayed here for only a week and it's clearly intended as a long term place. That said, the differences were minor so I still feel confident giving this rating. The biggest issue, by far, is not having a formal front desk and ALSO not having a good self-service process. I still have not received the entry code or room code I was promised I'd receive by the Moorgate's own system. I've checked all the folders and trash in my email but it's nowhere to be found. That's a big issue since they ALSO have no one you can ask for help on site and the phone reception only knows so much about the hotel. After a literal hour, I was able to get it sorted out. The other issue is that for some reason when I showered water dripped...from the ceiling...Never had that happen before. I think there may be a pipe leak behind the drywall but wasn't there long enough to find out. I had one minor issue with the iron but they resolved that quick enough so I give them kudos for that. Likewise, the rest of the room was very pretty and they had all the things I'd expect to want in a longterm stay: fridge, dishwasher, laundry in room, iron, safe (though too small for a laptop!). The bathroom was really nice which sounds specific but London hotels have terrible bathrooms in my experience. I was pleasantly surprised save the item mentioned above. In general, not bad and appears well kept so perhaps my experience was aberrant. That said, it was my experience.

Gorgeous apartment, beautiful decor and containing everything you need including an iron, hairdryer, microwave/oven, hob and dishwasher. Great location, good service. Some minor grumbles as follows: check in is very late at 4pm, there is no socket near a mirror so it's hard to style your hair, the towel rail is on the other side of the bathroom from the shower and you can't place the bathroom mat in front of the shower because when you open the shower door the mat is pushed away.
