Excellent location. You can stay without thinking. The Hotel's staff are very helpful and interested. The rooms are clean and well maintained. Be sure to have dinner in the places around the hotel. Prices are very reasonable and delicious.

We stayed here one night to be close to the colosseum. Go next door to the rooftop Reece for amazing views at night. The staff was so helpful they recommended the place next door for lunch and it was amazing felt very authentic and the price was great. The room faced the road and it was very quiet at night. The bed was comfortable. The mini bar was priced reasonable. The body wash was so nice smelled so good and left the skin so soft. I would stay here again.

The Profumo is an amazing hotel to stay and very cosy. The staff are fantastic and very helpful and can converse in multiple languages. We loved our stay there. Also, the location of the hotel is only 400 metres from the Colosseum. Eateries everywhere outside. Book early because there are only 11 rooms, or you will miss out.

My finance and I were due to stay at the Profumo Maison Colosseo for a single night in Rome. Unfortunately less than 24 hours prior to check in - we were notified that the room was not available due to a service issue, and they would have to relocate us to their other hotel in the city, Profumo Maison Ripetta. This was about a 45 minute walk away from the original location. However we had a bit of a strange interaction with the staff to get to this stage. Initially we received an email asking us to phone the hotel, with no other details, when we phoned the person who answered did not understand why we were phoning and told us we were in the Colosseo. We pushed, as we were confused on why we had to phone, eventually she checked and told us we would be going to the Ripetta instead. We accepted as this was our only option. Prior to arriving at the Ripetta, 15 minutes before check in, we receive a whatsapp with a list of instructions on how to enter our room. However when we arrived at the hotel we found there was no key left for us, and there was no staff present on site - no reception / bar etc like the Colosseo. We phoned the same number as previous, and after 20 minutes or so we were finally in our room after they spoke us through how to get the back up key, they said the cleaner must have forgot we were coming. Sadly that did carry over into the room as well, which while it was an upgraded room due to our relocation, it was quite thick with dust, and the bathtub had not been cleaned. I imagine this would have not happened had the last minute switch not occurred, but still frustrating to see. The room also had some unfinished qualities to it, paintwork looking bad in some areas, neither of us could figure out how to turn off the AC etc - I normally wouldn't bring this up, but as we were upgraded to the suite room, you would expect a higher level of finish. Besides this the room was fine, the beds were comfy, and it was still close to the main attractions of the city. Sadly the ordeal getting in took some of the shine away from it.

Pros: breakfast served after 7:30. Decent selection for a quick bite. Staff was helpful and assisted with making coffee needs. Room design is good. Someone has a good eye and choose great furniture. Location was good for me. Close to the Collesium. Food options and convenience stores right outside as well. Cons: I stayed in a room close to the second floor terrace of the restaurant next door. Chairs and tables constantly moving. Not much they can do to fix that but be warned. No elevator to second floor. Staff offered help bringing furniture up but I didn't see that they didn't have a elevator listed on their homepage unless I'm wrong. Also I was quoted the flat rate fee for a transfer to airport. Once we got to airport I was told a different price by driver.
