This hotel is well placed right at the north end of the Longyearbyen shopping high street. We had a junior suite which is a reasonably sized room with a large sofa and very comfortable bed. Our room is detached from the main hotel so we have to go outside to get to the breakfast, restaurant and bar. But it's only a few metres away so no big problem. The pizzas in the bar are really good and big enough that I couldn't even finish mine.

Just wow👌. I have never experienced anything like this before. Very good hospitality, very clean and brilliant service. And on top of that, it's the top of the world! We also had the breakfast (included) and I've got to say it was a banger. They have everything, from yoghurt to nuts, croissants and boiled eggs. Found it very luxurious. View was very nice. The rooms were very clean, and especially the toilet. Did not expect a shiny toilet😅. Hospitality was exceptional! I would suggest going in June/July/August to experience 24 hours sunlight☀️ Absolutely recommend!

We have both enjoyed our 5 night stay at Radisson Blu Polar Hotel Spitsbergen. Our deluxe room offered us a toasty and warm heated bathroom which was like a little furnace in the mornings, lovely. As well as this, the separate living room bedroom meant we could relax away from the rest of the hotel when it suited us. On New Year’s Eve the hotel put on the most beautiful dinner and party. Our food was exceptionally good and the team that hosted us were so friendly and polite delivered like a military operation. So good, as were the fireworks. Such a memorable evening. Also, the included breakfast buffet in our room charge was very good and generous. On two nights we enjoyed the Barentz Gastro Pub, great beer and bites. Our only criticism is that the prices were increased by a minimum of 20% at the bar for drinks and food, for New Years and NY Day. This was quite substantial and probably not worth it for burgers, pizza and alcohol (which is already very expensive). We would highly recommend this hotel.
